ALERION Announces New Guitarist

March 29, 2009

Dutch female-fronted progressive metal band ALERION has announced the addition of guitarist Bart Lubbers to the group's ranks. ALERION says in a statement, "Both musically and personally, Bart is a great addition to the band. Moreover, having first picked it up in 1997, Bart knows how to handle his guitar."

ALERION recently completed work on a new promo recording, "Turn Of Fate". The effort was recorded at Storm Studio and produced by Kevin Storm, who is best known from the female-fronted rock/metal band CARDAMON and his project THE COMEBACK.

According to a press release, "Turn of Fate" contains the title track, which has a running time of almost eight minutes and "mold[s] together heavy and occasionally fast stuff with various slower and melodic parts," and the song "Clash with Eternity", which is "more subtle and features fingerpicked guitar parts."

ALERION is:

Maaike Siegerist - Vocals
Bas Willemsen - Lead Guitar
Ronald van Schaik - Bass Guitar
Lennert Stap - Drums
Paul Bouman - Keyboard
Bart Lubbers - Lead Guitar
