"The Global Warming Tour" will wrap up on August 8 in Tacoma, Washington.

"This tour, in addition to a couple songs we know we're going to play from the new record, we want to bring out songs we just haven't played for years," AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry told Billboard.com. "We'll be playing some of those — songs that were staples in the sets back in the old days that will be new songs to a lot of people if they don't know the albums."

Perry told USA Today that AEROSMITH will likely perform its new single, "Legendary Child", and two or three other new songs during the upcoming shows but that "playing half the record would not serve the audience."

"We have a catalog going back 40 years, and every classic we take out of the set is going to be missed by some kid who hasn't heard it live yet, whether it's 'Walk This Way', 'Dream On' or 'Jaded'," he said. "We have to honor that. It's going to be a real rock 'n' roll show."

AEROSMITH's 15th studio album, titled "Music From Another Dimension", will arrive on August 28. The band premiered the first single from the upcoming CD, called "Legendary Child", with a live performance on May 23 during the season finale of "American Idol". The track was also supposed to be included in the upcoming summer film "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", but that movie was abruptly bumped from its June 29 release date to March 2013.

"Legendary Child" is a reworked version of a song originally written in 1991 during the sessions for the "Get A Grip" album.

Other tunes on "Music From Another Dimension" include "What Could Have Been Love", "Beautiful", "Street Jesus", "We All Fall Down", "Out Go the Lights" and "Up On The Mountain".

AEROSMITH began working on the record — its first all-new effort since 2001 — last year, with the band working on music while singer Steven Tyler tended to his duties as "American Idol" judge.

The group reunited on this disc with producer Jack Douglas, who worked with them on classic early albums like "Toys In The Attic" and "Rocks".
