AEON Part With Drummer, Announce Replacement

June 17, 2002

Sweden's AEON have replaced drummer Arttu Malkki with Nils Fjellström. According to a message posted on the band's web site, "the reason [for Arttu's departure] was lack of interest and will to play this kind of music. He thought it was more pain then pleasure to play, and that's not the way it's meant to be. We were not entirely surprised by his decision and we knew that he was thinking about quitting the band. At the same time we would like to welcome our new drummer Nils Fjellström, he joined us earlier this week. Arttu will still be supporting AEON in some ways, and we really wish him all the luck with other projects that he is working on."
