June 5, 2006

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley was reportedly seen chatting with fans at the Glam Rock Tribute To Marc Bolan & T.Rex at Don Hill's in New York City on Thursday, June 1. Famed DAVID BOWIE/T.REX producer Tony Visconti was also on hand to introduce Marc Bolan's son Rolan Bolan and his band. Steve Conte of the NEW YORK DOLLS performed with his band THE FREQUENCIES and SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan joined FRANKENSTEIN 3000 on stage for kinetic versions of THE RAMONES classics "Psychotherapy" and "Blitzkrieg Bop". The night was capped off with a performance by the T.REX tribute band JEEPSTER, which ended in an extended jam of "Bang A Gong", with members of Rolan Bolan's band, people from the audience and the evening's organizer Marc Regan. Proceeds from the event are being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

FRANKENSTEIN 3000 made a return appearance at Don Hill's on Sunday, June 4 as the house band for performances by former RUNAWAYS vocalist Cherie Currie and BOW WOW WOW singer Annabella Lwin. Cherie Currie appears on FRANKENSTEIN 3000's CD, "America's Hit Remakers", dueting with Keith Roth on a cover of the RUNAWAYS' "American Nights".
