AC/DC's 'Thuderstruck' Featured In New 'Planes: Fire & Rescue' Trailer

April 8, 2014

AC/DC's classic song "Thunderstruck" is featured in the latest trailer (see below) for "Planes: Fire & Rescue", the sequel to last year's movie "Planes". The new animated film from DisneyToon Studios, which will hit theaters on July 18, finds Dust Crophopper (Dane Cook) joining the Aerial Fire Fighters at Piston Peak Air Attack Base as a Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) for a completely new adventure outside the racing circuit.

AC/DC's song "Shoot To Thrill" — from the band's smash album "Back In Black" — was featured in a 2013 commercial from DirecTV.

AC/DC's 25 albums became available digitally for the first time on November 19, 2012. All tracks were mastered for iTunes, and fans have the ability to download full albums or simply purchase their favorite individual songs. Fans can also choose from two specially packaged digital compilations: "The Complete Collection", the complete iTunes-exclusive AC/DC catalog; and "The Collection", which includes all 16 studio albums.

AC/DC will enter a studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada this May to begin recording its 16th studio album. The project will be the first set of new AC/DC material since 2008's "Black Ice" album. In addition, the band intends to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year by playing 40 shows in selected cities around the world which are yet to be announced.
