AC/DC: Zürich Concert Rescheduled

AC/DC's concert at Hallenstadion in Zürich, Switzerland, which was originally slated to take place yesterday (Sunday, March 29), has been rescheduled for April 6. The show was postponed due to undisclosed "technical difficulties" that were not related to the venue.

The Zürich concert sold out in less than half an hour after tickets went on sale last October.

Dallas Morning News recently reported that Dallas Cowboys executive Stephen Jones told a crowd at the University of Texas at Arlington on March 10 that AC/DC was one of several musical acts the team was close to booking for a show at the Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington. Jones did not give a tentative date for the gig.

AC/DC's "Black Ice" was among the top-selling albums of 2008 globally, according to new figures from the London-based International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which represents the recording industry worldwide.

Two AC/DC tracks, "Shoot To Thrill" and "War Machine", are being used as theme songs for WrestleMania XXV, which takes place on April 5 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
