AC/DC's ANGUS YOUNG Alive And Well Despite Death Rumors

June 18, 2003

Rumors of the supposed death of Angus Young, founder member of the legendary rock band AC/DC, have turned out to be false.

According to reports circulating yesterday the flamboyant guitarist, who famously dresses in a school uniform when performing on stage, died last Thursday, aged 48.

The story, which first appeared online at CMU, the daily music newsletter of Unlimited Media, has since been discounted by Stuart Gailbraith of VP Promotions, who work for the band in the U.K.

Gailbraith is quoted as having "laughed at the news and confirmed Angus is alive and well and touring as we speak."

The band, who are one of the biggest-selling rock bands in the world, were recently inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame.
