AC/DC Cancels Tonight's Show In Antwerp

March 3, 2009

According to concert promoter Live Nation, Anglo-Australian rockers AC/DC have been forced to cancel tonight's (Tuesday, March 3) show at Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium after one of the bandmembers (reportedly vocalist Brian Johnson) was taken ill. The group played a sold-out concert at the same venue on Sunday (March 1) to positive reviews.

Tickets to both Belgian shows sold out within two hours after they went on sale.

AC/DC's "Black Ice" was among the top-selling albums of 2008 globally, according to new figures from the London-based International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI),which represents the recording industry worldwide.

Two AC/DC tracks, "Shoot To Thrill" and "War Machine", are being used as theme songs for WrestleMania XXV, which takes place on April 5 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
