ABYSMAL DAWN Comments On DISMEMBER Tour Cancellation

November 30, 2006

Guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott of ABYSMAL DAWN — the Los Angeles-based extreme metal band featuring former members of RISE and INHUMAN VISION — has issued the following statement in regards to the recent cancellation of the band's West Coast tour with DISMEMBER and GRAVE:

"For whatever reasons our tour with DISMEMBER and GRAVE has been cancelled. This situation is completely out of our control and we hope that people understand and come out to support us next time. Words cannot express how frustrate we feel at the moment after taking this tour on such short notice. We would like to thank Mike Bear (ARTISAN) for offering to fill in for Carlos on this tour at the last minute. As many of you know, he played bass on 'From Ashes' and would have done an amazing job. The first date of the tour will still take place at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on December 1st. The lineup for the night will be ABYSMAL DAWN, COFFIN TEXTS, LETUM ASCENSUS, NEMA and UNSANCTIFIED. Tickets are only $8 for the night and if you bought tickets in advance you can come down to the show for either a partial or full refund."

ABYSMAL DAWN's debut album, "From Ashes", was released in North America on April 4 via Crash Music Inc. It was engineered, mixed and mastered by John Haddad (EYES OF FIRE, PHOBIA, INTRONAUT) at Shiva Industries in Santa Ana, CA.
