ABORTED Is 'Extremely Excited' About Touring With CARCASS

July 2, 2008

European death metal butchers ABORTED, whose members hail from Belgium, France and UK, have issued the following update:

"Yep, for those who haven't read or heard the news yet, we have been confirmed to return to the mighty U.S. this September for a U.S. tour with CARCASS. Needless to say, we are extremely excited about this since CARCASS has been one of our main influences over the years. We didn't get to see them on the festivals this summer so a tour with them more than makes up for that! The tour kicks off in New York on September 6 and more dates should be announced soon. Keep your eyes open!

"Summer Slaughter [tour alongside THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, KATAKLYSM, VADER, CRYPTOPSY, THE FACELESS, DESPISED ICON, BORN OF OSIRIS, PSYCROPTIC and WHITECHAPEL] has been going great. The shows we did so far were all fucking stellar and the crowds are just killer. Thanks to everyone that has been coming out to the shows and has been buying some merch, and those who plan on doing so! See you guys at the bar and front stage!"

ABORTED recently posted video footage from the recording sessions for their sixth full-length album, "Strychnine.213". Check out the clip beow.

Released on June 24 via Century Media Records, "Strychnine.213" combines the band's undeniable live energy with a powerhouse production from Eric Rachel (THE RED CHORD, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOD FORBID) and a "fuck you rock 'n' roll" approach to the overly edited, sterile sounding death metal records of today, according to a press release. The album's macabre cover artwork was designed by Colin Marks / Rain Song.
