A live recording of TOOL/A PERFECT CIRCLE frontman Maynard James Keenan singing a cover of LED ZEPPELIN's "Kashmir" while backed up by members of JANE'S ADDICTION at the final stop (August 24) of this year's Lollapalooza festival in Portland, Oregon has been posted online in MP3 format at this location. Also available for download is a duet between AUDIOSLAVE/ex-SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell and Keenan on a version of ELVIS COSTELLO's "(What's So Funny 'bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding" (written by Nick Lowe). Check it out: Version#1 (Portland, August 24), Version#2 (Seattle, August 23). In related news, Base Tendencies has posted an interview with A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel and bassist Jeordie White (a.k.a. Twiggy Ramirez, ex-MARILYN MANSON), conducted by radio station 107.7 The End at the Seattle stop of the Lollapalooza tour. Listen to it in Real Audio here. Also on the A PERFECT CIRCLE front, the band are strongly rumored to have secured a spot on next year's Big Day Out festival in Australia, which is being headlined by METALLICA. More information will be made available soon.
