IRON MAIDEN Announce European Dates - Nov. 28, 2002
IRON MAIDEN have announced additional European shows as part of their 2003 world tour, which is set to kick off next summer.

Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Jun. 25 – Paris, FRA @ Omnisport De Bercy
Jun. 27 – Roskilde, DEN @ Roskilde Festival
Jun. 28 – Stockholm, SWE @ Stockholm Stadium
Jun. 30 – Helsinki, FIN @ Hartwall Arena
Jul. 02 – Oslo, NOR @ Spektrum

Having taken some well-deserved time off the road, IRON MAIDEN have returned from their sabbatical (during which bassist/mainman Steve Harris spent seven months editing the DVD "Rock In Rio") and returned to London to commence writing for their next album, due out sometime in 2003. Producer Kevin Shirley has once again been enlisted to produce the as-yet-untitled effort (he previously manned the knobs for "Brave New World" and the "Rock in Rio" CD), the recordings for which will commence early next year.

Adrian Smith has always been my favorite guitarist in Maiden. I love his solos, both in Maiden and when Bruce went solo.

What more can I say?? How many other metal bands have survived over 20 years and are still this good?? There aren't many.

I'm just looking forward to the new album, Brave New World was awesome.

here we go again, Maiden has been my fave and since my being privledged enough to have wittnessed THE BEAST ON THE ROAD TOUR way back in '82. i realy hope they cover some new ground msically. alt of people think that from their S/T- Piece of mind they sounded the same ( other than the Air Raid Siren), but while the 1st 3 albums have a vibe or a feel that exists on them, musically they are all very different albums.
BNW felt lie Classic Maiden yet it showed their influences in a more direct light than any of their preceeding albums.
the influences have always been there, if you listened to bands like, UFO, Purple, Tull, Lizzy, etc.. ,you knew where this band came from.
i hope the new album takes the influences back to the under current they used to be & that they cover some new ground, like on SIT. that album is still in my mind the most innovative Maiden album to date.

UP THE IRONS!!! \m/

IRON MAIDEN RULES! With Judas Priest they are the classical essence of true metal!!. British metal rules!
(Also british hard rock... UFO, Thin Lizzy)
