Put into context, where do you get that he was talking about national security. I see someone talking about uneven distribution of wealth, and no government interference being a problem that the government is supposed to solve. Sorry, but I don't see national security mentioned. And please, don't try and lecture me on reading the constitution and it's amendments. I happen to know them very well.

for all you Tom Morello bashers. He actually has a degree in Political Science from Harvard. So, yes, that does make him qualified to speak on these matters. There are not many people in Hollywood who's opion I value on political issues, but his is one. Do I agree with everything? No. But I respect his opions.

And for the person who asked me to cite examples of increased censorship, I will mention Howard Stern. Howard had been a Bush supporter from the beginning. He was in NYC on 9/11. He was swayed by that. In the following years, he became disenchanted. When it was re-elction time, he urged his listeners to vote for Kerry. Next thing you know, Clear Channel dropped him from all their stations and the FCC was fining him for every fart joke. And take a wild guess who Clear Channel supported in the last election. You guessed it, GW.
Also, take a look at the number of fines levied by the FCC during the GW admin. vs. the Clinton admin. It has drastically increased.

Tom Morello is no more qualified to speak on these matters as you or I, assuming you and I have read newspapers, followed current events, and are generally educated. Tom Morello has not lived under a communist dictatorship, fought in a war, or clawed for scraps just to survive. His political science degree from Harvard is just a piece of paper. It is not life experience. I would say that the only people who are more qualified to speak on the issues that Tom Morello loves to give voice to, are those people who have seen both sides.....those who have seen war and peace, those who have felt loss and celebrated life, those who have been held down by oppression and lifted up by freedom.

Yes, Tom Morello may be qualified to speak on these issues, but no more so than any of us who have lived a comfortable life with the gifts that we were born into.
