MEGADETH Completes Recording New Album - Mar. 13, 2013
MEGADETH has officially completed recording its new album, "Super Collider", for a June release via MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's new label, Tradecraft, which is distributed by Universal Music Enterprises(UMe). Mustaine sang the very last note on the album earlier today (Wednesday, March 13) at his Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California. The next step in the process is to finish mixing the album.

Commented Dave via Twitter: "More 13 weirdness… We finished the record on 31313. 13 of 14 songs used; song 13 left off. It was 13 years since we tracked 'Silent Scorn'." [Horn player Bob Findley played on the track "Silent Scorn" from MEGADETH's 2001 CD, "The World Needs A Hero", and is a featured guest on the song "A House Divided" on the new album.].

"Super Collider" is MEGADETH's first release since its recent split with Roadrunner Records.

With the recent acquisition of EMI, UMe now brings together MEGADETH's classic, 14-year, seven-album Capitol catalog, which includes one multi-platinum release ('92's "Countdown To Extinction"), four platinum records ('86's "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" ; '88's "So Far, So Good... So What?"; '90's "Rust in Peace"; '94's "Youthanasia"), and one gold ('97's "Cryptic Writings"). In all, the band has scored five U.S. Top 10 albums (including 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame") and two Top 5 releases, with 2011's "TH1RT3EN" debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart.

Someone had to have hacked into the system to make it that many thumbs up. The only other time I saw that many thumbs up was when some asshole wrote 'nobody cares' when Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God was acquitted for the death of that young fan in the Czech Republic.

I have really lost them some years ago, they are going with the inertia spewing unmemorable albums since the early 90?s. TSHF was the last album I really liked. Risk and TWNAH do not exist for me, and the ones after TSHF meh.

Hey Dave, you forgot it's the month of march, march is the 3rd month. The 3rd album you made was So Far so good, so what... You had a song called 502. You finished tracking at 5:02 PM. PM are the same initals as Pam Mustaine, your wife. Pam spelled backwords is Map. You have a map on Hidden Treauses album. A hidden treasure must be buried somewhere, why don't you go look for it.

Well, I'm looking forward to it a lot. Though the studio clips haven't given a great deal of insight into what sort of an album we're in for, there were snippets in there that sounded very promising. Admittedly, there was nothing in there that sounded overly fast or thrashy, I know; yes, it was all around mid-tempo. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's lacking in energy or dynamics; it still sounded good to my ears, and I'm sure I'll still get a kick out of it. As exemplified by songs like "The Scorpion", "Addicted to Chaos", "How the Story Ends" and even "Peace Sells", Megadeth don't have to play at a-mile-a-minute to sound good.

13 was mediocre, Endgame was great, UA was decent, and TSHF was frankly a masterpiece. Recent history shows the pattern and I'm hoping this is a great one.

None of that is weird.

You chose what day you finish your record.

You chose to make a 13 track album.

You chose to invite a session player you had in 13 years ago.

Luckily, I get make choices too. I'm going to pick the 13th of every month to not listen to "13".

Heck, I'll just do that every day.

Weird, hey?

For me, 'The System Has Failed' was a near-masterpiece that went sour towards the end, 'United Abominations' was indeed decent, but had some horrible moments. I personally think 'Endgame' was a masterpiece, and I think 'Thirteen' was a very respectable effort; I don't share many of the same gripes as most do when it comes to that album.

TH1RT3EN was mediocre because Dave rushed to get it finished. He wanted to get out of his deal with Roadrunner sooner than later. Two of the songs were from video game soundtracks. Four of them were re-recordings of bonus tracks from previous albums. I wasn't expecting much from that album... I'm still optimistic that this album will be good

okc bombing "super colIn the aftermath of the bombing, the name Mike Loudenslager holds particular significance in the hearts of many in and around Oklahoma City. And this is so, because of the forewarning he gave to a number of those families who had children in the Murrah Building's day-care center.

In the weeks preceding the bombing, Michael Loudenslager, 48, had become increasingly aware that large amounts of ordnance and explosives were being stored in the building and as a result he, (along with the operator of the day-care center) strongly urged a number of parents to take their children out of the Murrah Building.

This situation arose after other employees became concerned with an increased amount of ordnance (missiles) being brought into the building by the B.A.T.F. and D.E.A. As a result of this concern, a grievance was filed with G.S.A. by the building's security director, whose wife ran the day-care center.

The result was, the security director, the man who who had filed the complaint citing the danger to the Murrah Building's occupants, lost his job there.

Then, after some remodeling work had been done to the day care center, and the operator (the security director's wife) notified Fire Marshals of the work's completion, (as was required by her license) Fire Marshals were denied access by federal agents, and were instructed to leave.

And then... the day-care operator lost her contract.

After hearing rumors about an impending bombing and feeling the risk was too great not to say anthing, Michael Loudenslager and the day-care center operator began speaking with parents, many of whom chose to remove their children. Because of their warnings, far fewer children were in the day-care center on that horrible Wednesday morning than there otherwise would have been. A number of families, in and around Oklahoma City, have these two people to thank for their children's lives today.

At the time of the bombing, Loudenslager was in court. Shortly after the bombing, Loudenslager was among those who were actively helping in the rescue and recovery effort. A large number of those at the bomb-site either saw or talked with him.

During the course of the early rescue efforts, however, Mike Loudenslager was seen and heard engaging in a loud, angry exchange with someone there.

Much of his anger stemmed from the fact he felt the B.A.T.F. was in large part responsible, not only for the bombing, but for the death and injury to those inside, particularly the nineteen children who died as a result of the blast.

Her name was Baylee. She died

To the utter astonishment of a large number of police officers and rescue workers therefore, it was later reported that G.S.A. employee Mike Loudenslager's body had been found inside the Murrah Building the following Sunday, at his desk on the first floor, supposedly a victim of the 9:02 A.M. bombing.

The problem with the "official" story then, is that Loudenslager already been seen alive and well by numerous rescue workers at the bomb-site after the bombing, where he was actively engaged in the urgent task of rescuing critically injured victims.

Yes he is officially listed as one of the 168 bombing fatalities.

But Mike Loudenslager was murdered at the site, sometime after the bombing.

The question now becomes: Was he murdered and placed at his desk? Or, was he simply murdered and said to have been found at his desk?.

The Federal government had sequestered the area; no one who did not have official approval was allowed in.

This considerably narrows the list of suspects.

Michael Lee Loudenslager was survived by his wife, Betty, and one son.

Loudenslager's murder is unquestionably one of the most important sidelights of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Jack Colvert, Jackie Majors and Buddy Youngblood had also been at the Murrah Building that morning. Each saw Mike Loudenslager alive and well after the bombing.

They'e all dead.

So are Dr. H. Don Chumley and Officer Terry Yeakey. lision"

Ive met him a couple of times, one of those i spent most of the day with him in the freezing cold at Santa Pod raceway doing a photoshoot for metal hammer magazine. Disagree with him on things, thats cool, but please dont be too harsh.

TSHF, United Abominations & 13 are all better than Endgame! My favorite Tracks off Endgame were the last few, Still a kick ass album though!
