ALICE COOPER, MARILYN MANSON To Join Forces For 'Masters Of Madness' Tour - Mar. 5, 2013
ALICE COOPER and MARILYN MANSON will join forces for a new tour, which will apparently be dubbed "Masters Of Madness/Shock Therapy Tour". So far the following two dates have have been leaked:

June 04 - West Valley City, UT - USANA Amphitheatre
June 23 - Pittsburgh, PA - Stage AE

Alice's latest album, last year's "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", sold 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart. Cooper's previous CD, 2008's "Along Came A Spider", opened with just under 10,000 copies to land at No. 53.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum "Welcome To My Nightmare" album in 1975, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.

MARILYN MANSON's new album, "Born Villain", which sold 38,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 10 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on May 1, 2012 via Cooking Vinyl and Manson's own label Hell, Etc.

really hope the pass around a bucket and have people spit in it. Then bring the bucket up on stage and see who drinks it. Or perhaps they will throw out a litter of cats and refuse to play until the cats a torn apart!

Ahh, the good old days!

Hmm...I don't know about this. I'm a big Alice fan but I wouldn't want to sit through Manson. I have the feeling that Manson fans would feel that Alice wasn't "hardcore" enough either.

This tour was put together because of similar images, not music or fans. Prime example of how the industry gets it wrong. Now when no one goes because Cooper fans dont wanna see Manson and Manson fans leave after a couple Cooper songs, all its gonna end up doing is hurting the artists. And the execs who put it together will remain oblivious.

That's what people said about the Cooper/Zombie tour and it turned out to be amazing. The only thing I would be worried about on this tour is that Alice's current show isn't nearly as theatricle as usual. I think with a tour like this fans would expect both guys to turn it up a notch if anything.

i rarely ever miss an alice cooper show when he's in town, but i might just have to skip this one. either that, or i could just flip off manson and go get a beer like i did when he played at ozzfest. it'll all depend on ticket prices i guess...

June 25th at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, Connecticut also.

I'm interested either way. If Alice opens, I get to beat the traffic. If Manson opens, I get to dick around for an hour.

I'll do without Manson. Believe it or not when ALICE had Cheap Trick open a few years back it was a great pairing. Packed show at an outdoor venue in the middle of Long Island. Wouldn't mind seeing that again.

Funny thing is, he is already booked at the beacon in NYC for mid July but the show (last I looked) was being billed as "All Alice, all night". I was really hoping that is was some kind of retro thing and might include Mike, Neal and Dennis.

... Manson's audience is shrinking. Alice, while his album sales have diminished, still brings a great live show with all the classics.

Best pairing for Alice was Twisted Sister, wish they had done more than just one NYC show a few years back.

I'd love to see Alice Cooper live. Even more, I'd like to see Alice blow Manson off the stage.

Two wash ups from two different generations. Two intelligent people who could not for the life of themselves replicate Bowie's knack for reinvention.

Meh.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you're a fucking idiot.

Alice Cooper is a consistent concert draw fro one reason - he still brings a show people are willing to pay money to see. Totally pro bands and, somehow, Alice can still pull off the vocals he recorded in the 70's.

Manson? Okay - you're right there.

But you're still a moron.

I'd say more like the Master of Madness with the washed up 90's goth-industrial guy who has only done a few good albums, kinda like Rob Zombie except he's actually cool.

Pffft. Who cares? Where's Bowie been while Alice has been touring the last 10 years?

Went androgynous after seeing Cooper. ALICE.....the first and still the best. 40 years later. IF I go to this show at least I can now relax and be late as I usually tend to be. I can't even stand to watch Manson on YouTube.

Great so the washup shock rocker tour from the 70's, 80's and 90's can team up. Rob Zombie will join them next year to cover his unremarkable music throughout the 00's.

A nostalgia tour that transcends taste, age, genre and era.

Manson has never had anything but respect for Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie....

There are a large amount of people, myself included, that are fans of all three.

Alice has made awesome and creative music throughout his career, Manson has been in a slump of late I will give you that, Zombie, I have a good feeling, is about to put out one of the best albums of his career. His last album was excellent.

:)

Sadly, I like both Alice and Manson, but I'm sure this show won't see Phoenix....

Alice doesn't seem play FULL SHOWS in AZ. When asked why, he says it's because we get to see him perform 'during' his annual Christmas Pudding show. Last time I got to see a FULL AC show, I had to drive to Tucson.

Crossing horns...

They played together at B'Estival Bucharest in 1997.
MM came out and sang I'm Eighteen w/ Alice then when MM performed Alice came out and sang Sweet Dreams w/ MM.
There's a youtube video on them

This tour will be really good...Haven't seen AC in some time and haven't seen Manson since he was last in Tampa with Slayer a few years ago and that show was killer. I personally don't see there being a problem with these 2 touring together. I don't believe the speculation that the Manson fans are going to jet after he closes or the AC fans not being impressed with MM's performance, the guy always puts on a hell of a show...Looking forward to this one.
