I can't say much about this because I don't know all the facts, but I do know this! People forget where they came from it seems, I grew up with Dave, he's a cool dude, always true to his craft, I remember watching Slayer practice in a garage in Huntington Park, (Kerry had hair!) They need to realize, slayer is more successful with the original members, that's what people want to see and hear! I feel bad for Dave, sounds like he's getting a raw deal, did they forget without him, they probably wouldn't be where they are today? Hope this works out, Dave kicks ass and Slayer's not complete with out him.

Kerry IS throwing Tom under the bus: he says Tom was on the fence (as in undecided about Dave) but Kerry himself did not want to move on without Dave.

Let me play devil's advocate for a minute. Lombardo admitted to not keeping track of his finances the entire past year. He needs to take some blame/responsibility here for not doing so. I agree it sucks how he was treated, but it is also your job to look after and review your own finances on a consistent basis.

We don't know what really is going on. Hell, Dave quit numerous times before. I base whats going on by Tom's attitude from his soundwave interview, he didn't seem bothered and was talking about the future of Slayer. I'm guessing just some drummer " I don't like it, I need it my way" bullshit. Hard to think that Kerry would really go along with a plan that he gets only 10% of the money he's earned. Hire Satan to do your music buisness Slayer.

recently on Johnny Kelly's facebook page someone mentioned the Lombardo situation. Kelly's response was, "Only a few people know the real story behind this. But I was disappointed to hear about that." And this really speaks to something that bothers me about the metal press. what is the story? aren't folks on the radio and in the magazines supposed to report the facts? whatever the real story is, what is it? why can't Eddie Trunk, etc verify Lombardo's version or KK's or Tom so on and so forth.

As much as I like Lombardo and think he belongs in Slayer, he was naive to think this could be brought up and resolved a week before a tour. That's when you're usually devoting time to making sure all checks and balances for the tour are in place, and you're well rehearsed. I'm getting the impression Dave wasn't willing to let it go until after the tour, and Kerry had too much shit on his plate to deal with it, so he had a backup plan to prevent the tour from being cancelled. Besides the obvious desire to play in Australia, they also probably didn't want to let fans down, PLUS, depending on the agreement with the promoter, Slayer could have ended up having to pay a big fat penalty if they cancelled the tour just a week before going.

So many different factors and I think fans should shut up attacking people. You're just making yourself look bad.

Slayer has turned into a cash cow brand name and unable to create the true metal that once marked this band above all others. Its oil and vinegar guys not oil and water!

It seems now they want to cash in more on the Slayer brand and the music is somewhere 5th or 6th on the priority list. WTF? Sometimes this shit works with bands (member swapping) but largely no. Metal has never been about profit or making money just killer music. But I do understand that you all need to pad your retirement accounts and have bills and kids to support. This "business" unfortunately contributes to bands losing focus to what the core important things are. Also bringing in other musicians to fill slots may be a temp solution but its not the answer. The Slayer chemistry is all fucked up, the inner core of this band is fucked up, and priorities are fucked up period.

Take a lesson from Def Leppard. They soldiered on with all kinds of drama including losing a guitar god from alcoholism ( Steve Clark) and their drummer losing a fucking arm ( Rick Allen). Yeah there not the same musically but the love and respect they have for each other is evident which deserves respect.

Lets think about this how would people feel if one of the members of Rush split? No one in there right fucking mind would tolerate that because without Geddy Lee Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson there is no Rush! Period! Also they know that and have said it a million times if one leaves there all done. That is class.

Without Lombardo and Hanneman there is no Slayer Period.

If this shit cant be settled in an amicable way where all parties are getting their fair share and all original members are present, then lay this shit to bed guys and go out with some dignity and a killer legacy. \m/

Bostaph and Dette are excellent drummers; but only Lombardo can handle Slayer the way the songs need to be played.

Everybody needs money, that much we know. And I think it's understood that nobody gets rich on music these days. But I think this is mostly about lack of respect.

My utmost support for you Dave, you are the ONLY honest man the rest but Jeff are corporates. Thanks for nothing, you are an amazing drummer and human being.

What amazes me the most in this situation is Tom´s position: if Dave AND Tom wonder about financials (Tom [Araya, bass/vocals] and I hired auditors to figure out what happened, but I was denied access to detailed information and the necessary backup documents), then WHY is ONLY Dave out? Tom was given access to financials? Why Dave NOT? Because he was saying too much? So Jeff is NOT coming back (they don´t know after 2+years), KK is composing the new music himself BUT Tom says Jeff can come with new stuff when he likes, this is a fucking contradiction ir he has NO say at all. Tom is going with the flow comfortably (saying nothing, doing nothing about it) and KK we all now him. Conclusion: this band has become a corporation, NOT what we have loved. Sad but true.

Why would Tom have issue with Dave? They probably never see each other apart from touring. Whereas Kerry & Dave were writing the new album together... smells like there are publishing/writing issues underneath it all too.
