'Death To All' North American Tour: Promotional Video Released - Feb. 27, 2013
"Death To All" — which features a number of DEATH's amazing musicians celebrating the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner — will embark on its second North American tour in April. The first leg of the trek will feature the three surviving members of DEATH's "Human" lineup (guitarist Paul Masvidal, bassist Steve DiGiorgio and drummer Sean Reinert), along with with special guest vocalist/guitarist Max Phelps of CYNIC/EXIST, performing material from the group's first four albums. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems. A second leg of dates will take place later this year.

"Death To All Tour 2013" dates:

April 13 - West Hollywood, CA - House Of Blues
April 15 - Denver, CO - Gothic Theatre
April 18 - Detroit, MI - St. Andrew’s Hall
April 19 - Cleveland, OH - House of Blues
April 20 - Cincinnati, OH - Bogart’s
April 21 - Chicago, IL - House of Blues
April 23 - Montreal, QC - Club Soda
April 24 - New York, NY - Irving Plaza
April 25 - Philadelphia, PA - Theater Of Living Arts
April 26 - Silver Springs, MD - The Fillmore
April 27 - Worcester, MA - Palladium
April 28 - Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Theatre
April 29 - Mexico City, MEX - Circo Volador

A promotional clip for the tour can be seen below.

Tickets are available at this location.

The "Death To All Tour 2012" kicked off on June 22, 2012 at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California and concluded on June 30, 2012 at The Beacham in Orlando, Florida.

The drums on the "Death To All Tour 2012" were handled by Gene Hoglan ("Individual Thought Patterns", "Symbolic"), Danny Walker (INTRONAUT, BEREFT) and Sean Reinert ("Human"). On bass was Steve DiGiorgio ("Human", "Individual Thought Patterns") and Scott Clendenin ("The Sound Of Perseverance"). Guitar duties were shared by Paul Masvidal ("Human"), Shannon Hamm ("The Sound of Perseverance") and Bobby Koelble ("Symbolic"). The vocals were taken care of by EXHUMED's Matt Harvey and Charles Elliott of ABYSMAL DAWN and BEREFT.

Harvey replaced OBSCURA vocalist Steffen Kummerer due to visa issues and had only nine days to learn his entire set.

Commented Elliott at the end of the tour: "I just want to thank all the DEATH fans that were supportive of the 'Death To All Tour'. I wasn't sure how people would take someone besides Chuck playing these songs but people were very supportive. I'm obviously not trying to replace Chuck, just pay tribute to one of my favorite bands for a good cause. The people that realized this had an amazing time sharing in Chuck's memory and music at the shows.

"Getting up on stage with these incredible musicians and playing those songs for people that love DEATH as much as I do, was an incredible and surreal experience that I'll always remember."

Fan-filmed video footage of the Orlando performance can be seen below.

Chuck died on December 13, 2001 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor.

I'm conflicted about this. It's cool the $$ will go to charity, but it just seems wrong.

I'm guessing the people who voted me down are all the kiddies and never seen Death live. This is like going to see Jimi Hendrix with no Jimmi Hendrix and other people play his music. No diffrent from a tribute band.

As both the organizer of this tour and the guy who runs Chuck's legacy, I can say without reservation that you're actually right - it IS a tribute tour. A tribute to Chuck's music, played by the guys who did the albums & toured with Chuck, and with assistance to a charity that helped Chuck when he lost everything due to medical bills. Is there anything wrong with thath? DEATH TO ALL is not meant to be seen as a reforming of DEATH. ERIC

This is essentially a Cynic show. Cynic doing a whole night of Death covers and paying tribute to the mighty Chuck Schuldiner. Awesome!

Also, as a Cynic fan, I hope this experience impacts the writing on their next album.

That wasn't funny, dickhead. And for your information - Chuck was cremated.
