MÖTLEY CRÜE Announces Most Extensive Canadian Tour In Band History - Feb. 25, 2013
MÖTLEY CRÜE unveiled today the details of its 2013 Canadian tour, which marks the most expansive run of the country in the band's history. The trek will commence this spring with a total of 18 show dates, kicking off on April 20 in the West Coast, and running through to May 14 when the band completes the tour in the nation's capital; this will be the only time the band will perform in Canada through 2013. MÖTLEY CRÜE will be joined by special guests BIG WRECK; the full tour has been listed below.

Apr. 20 - Penticton, BC - South Okanagon Events Centre
Apr. 22 - Victoria, BC - Save On Foods Memorial Centre
Apr. 23 - Abbotsford, BC - Entertainment & Sports Centre
Apr. 25 - Prince George, BC - CN Centre
Apr. 26 - Dawson Creek, BC - EnCana Events Centre
Apr. 28 - Edmonton, AB - Rexall Place
Apr. 29 - Calgary, AB - Scotiabank Saddeldome
Apr. 30 - Lethbridge, AB - ENMAX Centre
May 02 - Saskatoon, SK - Credit Union Centre
May 03 - Moose Jaw, SK - Mosaic Place
May 04 - Estevan, SK - Spectra Place
May 06 - Brandon, MB - Keystone Centre
May 07 - Winnipeg, MB - MTS Centre
May 09 - Subdury, ON - Sudbury Area
May 10 - Hamilton, ON - Copps Coliseum
May 11 - Oshawa, ON - General Motors Centre
May 13 - Montréal, QC - Centre Bell
May 14 - Ottawa, ON - Scotiabank Place

MÖTLEY CRÜE last year released a brand new song called "Sex" to coincide with the launch of the band's North American co-headlining tour with KISS.

Written when the group was together during their residency in Las Vegas in February 2012, "Sex" was the first studio track from the CRÜE since their June 2008 release of "Saints Of Los Angeles".

"We've been writing," bassist Nikki Sixx told Loudwire. "We started the record with the song 'Sex' and I have a ton of riffs. I know Mick [Mars, guitar] has told me he has a ton of riffs and it's just a matter of now collecting riffs. For a while, it was only writing segments of music and getting together and collaborating but now I'm starting to finish music more like I used to more — like I used to in the old days — and finish it top to bottom. So I look forward to getting in the room with my band and going, 'Here's ten of my ideas, what have you got?' and then we kind of let that process happen."

Asked about MÖTLEY CRÜE's long-term future, Sixx said: "We haven't been shy that MÖTLEY CRÜE has been talking about somewhere in the near future doing a farewell tour. We talked about it on 'Piers Morgan' and different interviews. It's not that we hate each other or we don't work together well. I think it's just at some point we want to leave it with some sort of a legacy that's leaving it in a good way. I just see some bands that keep fucking beating a dead horse and I'm like, 'Get off the horse, dude, it's dead.' And MÖTLEY CRÜE is really at one of our highest points we've been and I would like to see us even climb higher by seeing us finish our movie, an album and then maybe announcing a farewell tour and going out at the top. It would be a really nice look."

Canada is one of my favorite countries in the world. A great place with wonderful people, amazing food, and tons of metal events. Ryan, you are making yourself look like an ignorant moron. Please stop.

Pretty cool. Not many bands do these Canadian tours. I might go to the Oshawa show since I live 15 minutes away from there. It will be nicenot having to drive to Toronto.

Canada's an amazing country...I love Toronto and Montreal. Shame what Harper's doing to it, but it's not irreversible.

That's a massive tour for Canada. Good for the Crue giving the people up north some love.

Big Wreck is kind of an odd choice to open for Crue in my opinion. Oh well, I'll be at the Hamilton show!

They are a good choice for opener in a canadian market. Ian Thornley has done well touring in canada as a solo artist and Big wreck always did well here. The venues are 7000 seaters and should easily be filled by the crue. Big Wreck should bring 800-1000 extra tickets sold. IMO

Very true, except that they're not playing Moncton or Sunnyvale TP.

Whoever booked this tour "extensively" forgot Atlantic Canada.

You're implying that Motley Crue are still on the same level as Tool or Elton John. They aren't. Washed up as fuck and so far beyond their prime it stopped being funny a long time ago

Motley is the sickest, May 7 here I come. Even playing in Brandon too, holy crap, that's like a city of only 40,000 about. Surprising to see no shows in the Maritimes. Even Metallica played there in Halifax. Motley blows Tool away if you ask me. Still play lots of shows, new material, maybe a new CD this year...

Think I'll pass this time around, but good to see them hitting the smaller markets on this one. If I knew my money was going directly to Mick, then I'd go. Kinda sad when the guy that can barely stand brings it harder than the other 3 guys.
