DANZIG: First 25th-Anniversary Tour Dates Announced - Feb. 14, 2013
This year marks DANZIG's 25th anniversary and the band will play a series of live dates in the U.S. and in Europe. The first leg of the DANZIG 25th-anniversary tour has now been confirmed. All dates will feature DANZIG, plus Glenn Danzig and his former MISFITS bandmate Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein performing the music of the MISFITS. Special guests on these U.S. shows are CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and THE AGONIST.

The dates are as follows:

April 17 - Las Vegas, NV - House of Blues
April 19 - Denver, CO - Ogden Theater
April 20 - Albuquerque, NM - Sunshine Theater
April 22 - Austin, TX – Stubb's
April 23 - Corpus Christi, TX - Concrete Street
April 24 - Dallas, TX - Palladium
April 26 - Phoenix, AZ- Marquee Theater
April 27 - Pomona, CA - Fox Theater
April 28 - Ventura, CA - Ventura Theater

Glenn Danzig last year performed his "Legacy" career-spanning set featuring songs from DANZIG, SAMHAIN and MISFITS, in a number of U.S. cities. In addition, he played four DANZIG shows where was joined by Doyle Von Frankenstein as a "special guest."

DANZIG is putting the finishing touches on the as-yet-untitled covers record for a 2013 release.

I wonder how many shows he will back out of due to him being sick, stage to small, no french onion soup and all the other stupid reasons Stanzig backs out of shows.

That would be the only way to get me out to another Danzig show, bring back the 1988 line-up for the 25th anniversary and just do tunes from the 1st 4 albums, Glenn should have done whatever it would have taken!

He can't because boarder patrol won't let him into Canada for an arrest he has in the 1990's, he banged an underage girl. Look it up people.

He's been to Canada many times though. I know he had to cancel his Fan Expo Canada signing because he had trouble getting over the border, he did say he would play in Toronto in the near future to make up for it but it still hasn't happened.

he will cover roughly 6500 miles driving doing those first few shows, not a very cost effective way to tour, look for the $30/35 merch. Glenn, go punch your booking agent in the knee cap!

or it's hardly worth it. Funny how it seems like Doyle is always playing with him even though he's not in the band.

I've seen him twice and those are the only shows I ever went to from a big name band (I like have high frequency hearing)

The first time at the roxy in atlanta was incredible. I couldn't think of a song i liked that didn't get played. Prong and Damnaged opened.

The second time at the Norva, he was sick, but Tommy Fucking Victor brought the goods. I was so impressed by Tommy's interpretations of those songs and he came out and talked to us before the show, but I was too shy to say anything because I was a big fan of Prong wince the Atlanta show.

I'd like to see him again, but who's going to outplay Tommy on those Danzig songs? I take it Glenn doesn't mind Tommy being creative because they've been friends for a long time. I don't even know who's the guitarist these days. I might go and hope Glenn is in good voice that night because it's known he sometimes isn't.

if it were Christ, Von, Biscuits, & Danzig, I'd be there.
I got to see that line-up live and it still to this day was one of the absolute best shows I've ever attended out of the roughly 100 concerts I've attended so far.

I don't think any other version of the band could hold a candle to that line-up. I want to remember this band favorably so I'll stick with the memory of that show so many years ago.

The first 2 (arguably 3) records are just pure dark rock n' roll.

I have zero shit to talk about Danzig. For me, seeing them way back then was a life-changer.
