DIAMOND HEAD Guitarist Interviewed On 'Dropping The Needle' Podcast (Video) - Feb. 12, 2013
Episode 39 of the "Dropping The Needle" podcast features an interview with guitarist Brian Tatler of NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) legends DIAMOND HEAD. Check it out below.

"Dropping The Needle" is hosted by Michael Brandvold from Michael Brandvold Marketing and rock journalist Mitch Lafon. It is described as "the podcast where all music from all genres is discussed. New releases, classic albums, rediscovered music, signed and unsigned. No ass-kissing, just two guys talking about music."

DIAMOND HEAD will make two trips to North America this year. The first will be in April and will cover the East Coast, Canada, and the Midwest. The second leg of the band's U.S. tour will take place in October and will include dates on the West Coast and in the South.

For the first time in its 37-year history, DIAMOND HEAD made its way stateside for a U.S. tour in the summer of 2011.

DIAMOND HEAD's only previous U.S. appearance was at the Metal Meltdown IV festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey in 2002 for a sold-out show with fellow British stalwarts SAXON and WITCHFYNDE. Now, for the first time ever, DIAMOND HEAD's U.S. fans got the opportunity to see the band perform live.

The tour kicked off in Seattle on August 15, 2011 and concluded in New York City on September 1, 2011.

DIAMOND HEAD's first-ever appearance with the "Big Four" (METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH), the artists on whom they had a major influence, at the Sonisphere festivals in the U.K. and France, was followed by their first performances in Canada, playing with MOTÖRHEAD, and MEGADETH at the Heavy TO festival in Toronto, along with an appearance with GIRLSCHOOL, MOTÖRHEAD and KISS, at the Heavy MTL festival in Montreal.

Professionally filmed video footage of DIAMOND HEAD performing on July 23 at the Heavy T.O. festival at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada can be seen below.

I got to see Diamond Head in the Twin Cities last year and it was a dream come true! Met the whole band and they were all super nice guys. I also helped Brian load the t-shirts back in the van, haha. If you get a chance to see them, do it, they're awesome live!
