RANDY BLYTHE Manslaughter Trial: LAMB OF GOD Fan Refutes Witness Accounts - Feb. 7, 2013
According to WTVR.com, a concertgoer defended LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe's actions during a performance in Prague, telling a Czech court earlier today that he did not think Blythe was aggressive that night, and that fans should realize any aggressive behavior displayed on stage is just part of the show.

Blythe is facing the possibility of conviction and a long-term jail sentence after a May 2010 incident in which a fan, Daniel Nosek, who attended a LAMB OF GOD concert in Prague, died almost a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained when he was thrown off the stage.

Lukas Havlena told the court during Thursday's testimony that he contacted Blythe's defense team after reading accounts of what other witnesses were saying during the trial.

Contrary to the way other witnesses described the atmosphere at the concert, Havlena said that each time somebody got on the stage, Blythe made it clear they weren't allowed there.

Blythe's defense team asked for the trial to be postponed until March 4 because one witness fell ill and two criminal psychologists who were expected to testify were unable to attend this week. Also expected to testify when the trial resumes are Havlena's friend and some more security personnel.

The singer will be allowed to return to the U.S. until his trial resumes. He indicated in court that he would definitely return to Prague next month.

The parents of the alleged victim, Daniel Nosek, are demanding compensation of 10 million Czech Koruna (approximately $530,000).

Blythe was imprisoned for five weeks in the Czech Republic after being detained on June 27, 2012 when the Grammy-nominated, Richmond, Virginia-based band arrived there for a show.

The singer was freed without charge in August but had to post $400,000 bail, then left the country, vowing to return for the trial.

Hopefully the justice system in Prague will notice this scam and dismiss all charges.

Not only is there no evidence that Blythe did anything wrong, there is also no evidence that "the push" was what led to the kid's death weeks later. There's no telling what that dumbass did before or after the concert that might have injured his already low-functioning brain. Somebody who doesn't realize they can get hurt stagediving is capable of doing -- and likely doing -- all sorts of idiotic things. I wouldn't be surprised if he had his own Jackass-style Youtube channel. I'm no LoG fan, but this entire situation is ridiculous.

Well said. I feel for any parent who loses a child, but they're trying to pin it on an innocent man. And no, I'm not a LoG fan...

I think the air in between the stage and floor is an accesory and the floor is the perpetrator.

If you jump on the stage, you better be prepared to get pushed off, tackled down, thrown out of the venue, or whatever. This was a grown man who knew the chance he was taking. I feel for his parents, I do, but blaming Randy is just lame. Get your closure some other way, where an innocent person isn't being tried.

"Get your closure some other way..." [ in which an innocent party is not victimized for YOUR loss ]

if only our culture could adopt such an attitude

TPIE: I completely agree. If you get on stage, you are asking for it. You may be a rock show, but the equipment their playing on is their main/only source of income. That shit gets broken or whatever, how are they going to play the next show? Also, after what happened to Dime, people should use more sense. I personally get a feeling when a band says it's OK. Macabre never minded when I got up there. Nor Dying Fetus or Cephalic Carnage to name a couple more. However, at the end of the day, these dudes are at work. Bottom line is if you break their tools their fucked! The dude that got killed had it coming. I'm not going to say her deserved to die, but he DID have it coming...

I'm not even sure Riotact is one person. A while back, he was calling Randy a murderer and saying he needed to pay for his crimes. Now he's praising him and wishing him luck.

I have often wondered about this 'RiotAct666' entity that exists on this site, and the strange extent of the cult-like fervour his clones, pretenders, haters and followers display.

It has occurred to me also at one time or another that he(?) is more than one person. I have read accusations that he(?) is a bot. I have seen a RiotAct666 post where he/she/they/it seemed to respond directly to a fellow poster however, which appeared to be a break from the sometimes repetitive one-dimensional texts that can appear (see Guns'n'Roses threads for examples).

I considered perhaps that the user name has been hacked or somehow corrupted, or that there could be more than one actual user, and through a clandestine use of the space bar (or similar) when creating a user name that it appears to be the same user name but is in fact two. It is not inconceivable that such a level of trolling could exist on this site when you examine the comments that are regularly posted.

Or perhaps it's all just a twisted invention of the site administrators. Or perhaps the result of a virus unleashed by (you guessed it) one of the many resident trolls (perhaps after being burned and humiliated by a temporary ban from the site for being trollish), and the administrators aren't even aware of it.

Then there is the possibility that it's all covert surveillance by unnamed government agencies who are monitoring the metal underworld for anarchists and miscreants, with a view to liquidating social dissent and undesirables. The whole 'Watchers are watching' thing.

Know what I mean?
