RANDY BLYTHE Trial Delayed; LAMB OF GOD Singer To Return To U.S. - Feb. 6, 2013
According to WTVR.com, LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe will return to the U.S. this week after it was announced in a Czech Republic court his trial would be delayed.

Blythe's defense team asked for the delay because a key witness was sick, according to The Prague Post reporter Jonathan Crane who is helping cover the trial for WTVR.com. The defense team wanted that witness to testify in person.

Another witness is scheduled to testify Thursday, after which the trial will be postponed until March 4, Crane said.

The singer will be allowed to return to the U.S. until his trial resumes. He indicated in court that he would definitely return to Prague next month.

Blythe is facing the possibility of conviction and a long-term jail sentence after a May 2010 incident in which a fan, Daniel Nosek, who attended a LAMB OF GOD performance in Prague, died almost a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained when he was thrown off the stage.

The parents of the alleged victim, Daniel Nosek, are demanding compensation of 10 million Czech Koruna (approximately $530,000).

According to the The Prague Post, the court heard on Wednesday how LAMB OF GOD had sent a list of security demands to the concert venue, notably that barriers should be placed 1.5 meters from the stage. Presiding Judge Tomáš Kubovec noted that this wasn't the case. But promoter Tomáš Fiala told the court the band hadn't expressed any concerns to him, either before or after the gig.

Also today, Michal Pogoši, an expert medical witness, said Nosek's cause of death was pneumonia resulting from a blow to the brainstem, a part of the brain that sits on top of the spinal cord. He added the mortality rate from this kind of injury is around 40 percent, and that doctors couldn't have done more to save the patient.

Blythe was imprisoned for five weeks in the Czech Republic after being detained on June 27, 2012 when the Grammy-nominated, Richmond, Virginia-based band arrived there for a show.

The singer was freed without charge in August but had to post $400,000 bail, then left the country, vowing to return for the trial.

i hope that's not a bad omen. i can't imagine how expensive this is going to be for him regardless of the outcome. the traveling back and forth along with lawyer fees has to be pretty brutal.

you are setting a good example for people about how to be a man of your word.

Maybe he'll ask the fans for more money to fly back for court hearing next month.

you must acquit.

TWhether Randy pushed him or not, the intent was obviously not to kill him. Dying a month later, come the fuck on. The kid obviously had some other issues going on. Whenever someone dies young families always look for a scapegoat to vent on because it is easier to rage than to grieve and accept the truth. A sad situation all around.

Stay strong Randy.

Nobody intends for a person to die in a Manslaughter case. If Randy intended for the kid to die then he would have been charged with murder. Answer me this, how would you feel if this was your kid or your younger brother who died due to injuries from being thrown off a stage? Would you still be supporting the person responsible and telling him to 'stay strong'? My guess is that you'd be looking for Randy's head on a pole like most normal people.

Yeah that's true, I might. But I also might be wondering why my dumb ass kid was up wandering around on a stage that he didn't belong on..aaaannnd I might be wondering why the stupid ass security crew let him get up there too. If you're gonna blame someone, blame all involved.

That's the problem nowadays...people refuse to take responsibility for their actions and look to blame someone else.

Taking responsibility for your own actions is fine if he'd slipped and fell of the stage himself. He didn't. He was thrown. Randy and the arena security needs to take the brunt of the responsibility in this case.

What does the autopsy on this kid say? Can they conclusively prove the fall is what killed him? Maybe he had a condition prior to the concert. Maybe he got his head stomped on after he was pushed off the stage I've seen the video, the bouncer on the stage shoved the kid way harder than Randy did.

This whole thing stinks all the way around. The parents are grieving yet they want to blame someone for it and the fact that they are demanding money from Randy speaks volumes. Well sometimes in life, shit happens. Their kid made the choice to repeatedly get on the stage after getting tossed off. He made the choice. The fact that he died as a result isn't Randy or the band's responsibility.

If I were LOG's manager I'd say, fuck it, here is half a million to the parents, case closed. That's what this is all really about. Money.

if you are referring to what it says on the celebrity net worth site, i wouldnt believe it, many of those have beeen proven to be inacurate.
think about it. If he were worth 14m, then the other 4 members would be worth that as well, which would mean 70m total after taxes. that is simply impossible for a band such as L.O.G.

If I were Randy I would tell Czech govt to piss off, and I would pay the parents. I would never go near the country again. I would shack up in a country with no extradition.

It's not worth taking the risk of being thrown in jail for years!

I wouldn't be looking for anyone's head on a pole. Not a chance. An eye for an eye makes us all blind.

The truth will prevail. I have no clue as to Randy's innocence or guilt and the fact is, neither do you, and nor does the family of the young man who died.

I say "stay strong" to Randy because he is a human being and due to that fact alone he deserves compassion. Anger, hatred, and vengeance don't accomplish anything. This is a terrible situation for all parties and I hope that everyone involved can find peace when the dust settles on this case.

I'm aware some stare at my hair. In fact, to be fair, Some really despair of my hair. But I don't care, Cause they're not aware, Nor are they devonaire. In fact, they're just square.
They see hair down to there, Say, "Beware" and go off on a tear! I say, "No fair!" A head that's bare is really nowhere. So be like a bear, be fair with your hair! Show it you care. Wear it to there. Or to there. Or to there, if you dare!
My wife bought some hair at a fair, to use as a spare. Did I care? Au contraire! Spare hair is fair! In fact, hair can be rare. Fred Astair got no hair, Nor does a chair, Nor nor a chocolate eclair, And where is the hair on a pear? Nowhere, mon frere!
So now that I've shared this affair of the hair, I'm going to repair to my lair and use Nair, do you care?

I would love to see the autopsy report. There is no way that a pathologist could determine which blow to the brain stem a month after occurence would have caused the secondary illness which resulted in the young man's death. Any doctor that goes up on the stand and says so should have his/hers license revoked. Our job is not like a TV show.

His stupid actions resulted in a young man's death. Innocent push/shove or not. He is still responsible for murder. His actions are a direct effect.

I can't believe that I am the only one who feels this way on this board.

If you pushed someone and they fell and broke their nose, YOU are responsible, he pushed someone and hit their head which was a traumatic injury, resulting in death.
