Just because he used a name his friend thought up - with his full knowledge - does not make it stealing. The band made the name what it is through years of hard work and it is their trademark. I was born and raised in Burnaby,and still live in Burnaby.I see the Metallica Mfg van a few blocks away,in an old school friends house!My work sells sheet metal to Metallica Mfg.First time I saw the name on a work order years ago,I laughed.Very small company,using the name,but thier logo is not the same Metallica font.They dont use any artwork or lettering from the band,just that name!Burnaby makes Blabbermouth!!

Regardless of whether Lars took the name or not, the band trademarked it worldwide, used it to make a living, and have become synonymous with the name. They have a legal obligation to defend that trademark.
