Video: ALICE COOPER Joins SLASH On Stage In Dubai - Feb. 1, 2013
Alice Cooper joined Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist) on stage last night (Thursday, January 31) at Dubai Tennis Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to perform the legendary rocker's classic song "School's Out". Fan-filmed video footage of Alice's appearance can be seen below.

Slash previously summed up Cooper's influence this way: "Alice Cooper was the first ever to marry rock 'n' roll with dramatic horror theatrics. For 40 years he's made fantastic records and equally fantastic live performances. And still to this day he's the best at his craft bar none. Often imitated but never duplicated."

Slash made a guest appearance on Cooper's "Along Came A Spider" album, which was released in July 2008 via SPV.

Cooper must've taken his scimitar along to demonstrate his beheading act... for real!
He was probably prepared for hakk slash's crappy playing and ditto songs.
I guess he decided against it, sitting in jail because of a hakk would not be a very smart move.

Even in Dubai:
FUKK HAKK SLASH, MUFFMEISTER MCLOAD, JUNKIE ADLER & ASSKISSER RIOTACT.

AXL=GNR!!!
AXL=GOD!!!

This is ironic, considering that "Alice" pioneered the one original member rotating scab fest that Axl is perpetrating these days.

Well the members of the Coop band still get paid by Alice to use the name and live quite comfy by it.
He also recored and performed recently with the old band who by the way don't want to tour.
He got on stage with Slash.
Axl has done none of this.
Yet Alice is like Axl in what way ?

As the real Guns N' Roses blew through another amazing set I'm walking up the aisle to go take a piss and low and behold who is standing in the back of theater watching in awe??? Yes it was one Vincent Furnier witnessing the chaos onstage. No one even knew who he was or cared that he was there.

A Legend

PERIOD

Well, I'm glad that the band members are still getting paid. It's also obvious that Furnier is near the opposite side of the mental stability spectrum from Axl. And I believe that he's probably a pretty cool guy. But what he did career-wise is almost exactly what Axl did. Check it: Singer takes over a BAND, replaces everybody, and tours under the band name. Hmmm.

Sure there are some slight differences. Furnier was actually able to churn out albums at a normal rate, with varying quality but nothing that compared to the early material. And he adopted the band's name as his own, which Axl probably considered and rejected because "Guns" is a stupid first name and "n" is an even worst middle name. But just like GnR, he would be nothing without the songs created by the original BAND.

...just sayin'

there are major differences, in the fact originally the band name was "Alice Cooper". But the average fan thought it was a solo act. Alice was by far the most famous member, Buxton, for instance, did not enjoy the name recognition of Slash and other GnR members.

Alice also continued to make good music for a couple of albums, though his reign was almost up....Alice also never TOOK over the band, he left and went solo. Which, had Axl done that, would have been admirable if he truly wanted to stretch out and explore musically(which wasn't the case, he just wanted power). Well he got it.

Has been the soundtrack to my life since I was 12 (in '73). I wouldn't have it any other way. The sheer diversity of his music over the years is astounding.
