SOILWORK Discusses New Album In Video Interview - Jan. 28, 2013
LoudTV.net recently conducted an interview with Swedish metallers SOILWORK. You can now watch the chat below.

SOILWORK's ninth studio album and first dual-disc release, "The Living Infinite", will be unleashed on February 27 in Asia (via license to Marquee Records), in Europe on March 1, and in North America on March 5 through Nuclear Blast Records. Produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, BLOODBATH), the CD features artwork by MNEMIC's Mircea Eftemie Gabrie.

"The Living Infinite" features Justin Sullivan — lead singer of the English band NEW MODEL ARMY — as a guest vocalist on the track "The Windswept Mercy" and also marks the recording debut of longtime SOILWORK touring guitarist David Andersson (also of THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA).

SOILWORK's world tour launches with a 55-show headlining trek through the U.S. and Canada this March. Support will come from JEFF LOOMIS, BLACKGUARD, THE BROWNING and WRETCHED.

I really hope this double album lives up to actually being a double album and not just loads of filler. These two tracks sound really good though so I hope they pull it off

The first 3 albums were aweseome (Chainheart Machine being my favorite). The 3 after that were pretty good, but, a step down in quality from the first 3. StaGD had like 4 good songs and a lot of filler and the last album nearly completely lost me. Just nothing memorable at all.

This new material sounds like a mix of CM, aPP and NBC which would be several steps up from anything they've done in quite awhile. Bring the catchy songs and AGGRESSION back!!

I'm very excited, yet also very skeptical about this album. Here's why:

I'd have to disagree with Overkill's assessment. While Steelbath & Chainheart were descent, I think APP was their first solid album, and NBC being the first album where they really came into their own. However, since NBC, Soilwork has been on a cycle of every other album being good. The "bad" albums haven't been horrible, just slightly mediocre.

NBC - Awesome
F#5 - Ok
STD - Ridiculously Awesome!
STAGD - Got stale very fast
TPB - Awesome

So with TLI, we're on a cycle for it to be a below standards album. However, there's also the possibility that one of the albums will be great! I hope we get 2 awesome albums though, maybe getting out of their comfort zone (new guitarists, and making the double album), will result in something truly special.

Hey guyz,

this album is really really cool ! I was very sceptical cause the previous one was one the best Soilwork's effort. But this double album is really a trip and Bjorn does sing ! Different moods but the voice is incredible !

Isn't dual-disc that now-dropped format with the songs on one side and the "extra content" on the other? I'm corn-fused. Is it a double-album or what?
