Video: QUEENSRŸCHE Singer TODD LA TORRE Joins STRYPER On Stage In Anaheim - Jan. 27, 2013

QUEENSRŸCHE/CRIMSON GLORY singer Todd La Torre joined Christian hard rockers STRYPER on stage last night (Saturday, January 26) at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California to perform the IRON MAIDEN classic "The Trooper" and STRYPER's "Surrender". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Frontiers Records recently announced the signing of STRYPER to a multi-album deal. The first CD to be made available the agreement will be a collection of re-recorded versions of the band's classic songs, due in North America on March 26. Entitled "Second Coming" and produced by Michael Sweet, the CD will contain a total of 16 cuts — two from "The Yellow And Black Attack", six from "Soldiers Under Command", six from "To Hell With The Devil", as well as two new tracks, "Bleeding From Inside Out" and "Blackened".

That would have been a fun show. Stryper kills it live every time since they reformed. Original four members also helps. Check out the new live dvd Rockinland....wow is it good. It will blow you away if you like quality melodic metal with shredding guitars. Well filmed and the audio is perfect. Heavy as hell.

Good job, Blabbermouth. You FINALLY got the headline right. There's only one Queensryche, and their singer is Todd LaTorre.

Hadn't paid attention to Stryper in a while, but they sound great. So does Todd. Awesome video!

Empire as actually written by Tate AND Wilton.
The drama around all this is hilarious and it will be most interesting to see which version of the band that will get the most acceptance from the fan base and what the court will decide. If this were a company (which it is?), TLTRyche would get the name since it is 75% owned by the original three members. Why else hold so many shares in a company, if you still have no power?

All these comments about how QR just CAN'T go on with a new singer, the main songwriter(s) of the "great" era are no longer in the band, Taint is The Voice of QR...

Just watched an absolutely AMAZING Styx concert on Palladia this weekend. Sold out crowds (as they always do) and with only TWO original members from their "Great" era, plus the long-time abscence of their chief songwriter and Voice, Dennis DeYoung...

Yea, can't be done, LOL!

Tate can't even write songs like Best I Can or Empire anymore. Just look at the lyrics for his latest album.

That said, Todd sounds great here. I might even look into Stryper again. I remember listening to them in middle school, but that was decades ago. Seems like they still have their chops.

DeGarmo left QR because of Tate -- TWICE. He has no interest in a music career any longer. He's happy as a pilot and is happy with a quiet life with his family. Everyone can quit wishing for DeGarmo to come back. Won't happen. Ever. For ANY version of QR.

Even if he did come back, why would he go back to work with the guy who drove him from music twice, and that guy's harpy stripper wife that drove his band into the ground?

Todd sounds great. The band sound revitalized. And playing with bands like Stryper is a good way to reach out to casual fans and remind them that Queensryche is still around.
