GWAR, SLAVES ON DOPE Members To Judge Round 2 Of 'En Route To Heavy MTL 2013' - Jan. 23, 2013

Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2012, Dungeon Works Productions and Evenko present En Route To Heavy MTL 2013 and the selected twenty bands that will be battling it out over the next five months to win one of two opening slots at this year's Heavy MTL festival.

Battle 2 of the Battle Of The Bands will take place on Thursday, February 7 at Les Katacombes, with special guest judges GWAR's vocalist Dave Brockie, best known as Oderus Urungus, and SLAVES ON DOPE vocalist and CHOM 97.7FM DJ Jason Rockman, plus award-winning producer/mixer Glen Robinson (GWAR, VOIVOD, ANNIHILATOR), along with local music industry for the alternative metal night.

I don't know Slaves on Dope, but I do know Brockie. I'm glad he's a judge for some up and coming metal band. He's a metal / punk legend in my book. A true entertainer. If you ever bothered to read his lyrics you would see he's a mad genius.
