ROSS THE BOSS Returns With A Vengeance In All-New Metal Group DEATH DEALER - Jan. 22, 2013
As a founding member of both MANOWAR and the DICTATORS, guitarist Ross "The Boss" Friedman needs no introduction. But it's been a while since the metal masses heard from Ross, leading some to wonder if or when he would return. The wait is now over, as his newly formed outfit, DEATH DEALER, is ready to rock and take the world by storm, with their debut album, "Warmaster".

"The DEATH DEALER sound is a mighty combination of five very talented, seasoned musicians," explains Ross. "It's classic power metal with the brutal edge of thrash, speed, and precision." And when he says the band is comprised of talented and seasoned musicians, he's not kidding, as DEATH DEALER also includes vocalist Sean Peck (CAGE), guitarist Stu Marshall (producer and guitarist for such voices as Udo Dirkschneider and Steve Grimmett), bassist Mike Davis (HALFORD, LIZZY BORDEN), and drummer Kenny "Rhino" Earl (MANOWAR).

Formed last year via correspondence over the Internet, as soon as work commenced on the material, Ross knew he had met his metallic match. "Well, after they sent the first tune over, I was blown away, then Stu and Sean tell me they want me to join this band, called DEATH DEALER. I say, 'Who else is in the band? They say, 'Rhino on drums.' I'm in! Stu goes, 'It was either you or we would have asked KK Downing to be on guitar.' Wow!"

As evidenced by such tunes as "Death Dealer", "Never to Kneel" and "The Devil's Mile", for fans of authentic, no-holds-barred, manly heavy metal, "Warmaster" is an absolute godsend. And soon, DEATH DEALER will be converting metalheads worldwide to their cause. "Our future plans? Obviously to put DEATH DEALER on the worldwide metal map, and to engage large crowds and render them shocked and satisfied," says Ross.

Actually they released an album within the last couple years as Death Dealer, not Deaf Dealer.

Nothing better than soaring Metal vocals.

That sounds killer!!!

Nice to have Ross back. One of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing. He even took my Manowar questions in stride and had a sense of humor about it, unlike Joey the Stiff.

Ross the Boss!!!

Even his dictators stuff is truly amazing, Ross was the only thing I really enjoyed about Manowar outside of the cheesy stuff everybody should love. Glad to see you back man, you've never let us down.

Now this is the metal we have been craving!

Good move here, I couldn't see how Ross could make the transatlantic situation work with his Ross the Boss Band. This ought to work a lot better for him.

Ross the Boss beats the shit out of Karl Logan in terms of creativity. And Rhino was on one of best Manowar albums. Hope they stand tall for long time.

...They probably did this at a modest studio in a few sessions and it sounds decently good.

Manowar took YEARS at an expensive studio and their new record sounds like garbage.

Manowar probably spent most of their time figuring out how to loop 'Manowarriors, raise your hands' in ProTools for at leat a year, then found out they had no time to actually dial good tone.

cool, but these songs aren't Ross' style at all - I always thought he brought the rockin' element to manowar, this is like new-classical speed metal ..?

Ok...Now Here's something worth getting excited about.

This should be Iconic , Explosive, Timeless.

Now...IF, and thats a big IF ....They stay away from corny themes, gay outfits and lyrics that are fucking stupid, This group could really have some staying power.

If all is lined up correctly this will put Manowhore out to valkrie pasture and I hope it does. The vultures are cirlcleing anyways Joey...Just move out of the way.

PS your mom said dinnrers ready.

to say the least. I thought the RTB band was a bit weak. And I sure hope this won't be some kind of Manowar makeover. If you want Manowar, listen to Manowar.
But Ross has a great signature on guitar and if he's in a tight and good outfit, this could be working out very well.
I'm just might get excited

Cardboard cut-out drum sound, dated vocal delivery complete with dull juvinile lyrical content, sounds like 1986 updated. I grew waay past this even back then. Good guitar sound and riffs, but nothing that will last more than a few listens.

Furious vocals, razor sharp guitarwork and relentless drumming - hellyes! Manowar, Lizzy Borden, Halford, Cage... all cool bands!
