GUNS N' ROSES, ZZ TOP, ROSE TATTOO: Australian Tour Officially Confirmed - Jan. 16, 2013
McManus Entertainment has announced the return to Australia of one of the world's greatest rock bands, GUNS N' ROSES, in March. Joining GUNS N' ROSES will be special guests ZZ TOP and Aussie rockers ROSE TATTOO.

Promoter Andrew McManus says: "I can't wait for these shows next March. Axl Rose is a legend and I can't wait to see GUNS N' ROSES play to their legion of Aussie fans again. I'm so proud to be bringing them back to Australia and am looking forward to a great tour with fellow rockers ZZ TOP and ROSE TATTOO."

Hard rockers GUNS N' ROSES were last in Australia in 2010. GUNS N' ROSES are Axl Rose, DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Tommy Stinson (bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (guitar), Chris Pitman (keyboards) and Frank Ferrrer (drums).

GUNS N' ROSES' special guests on their Australian tour are the legendary Texan trio ZZ TOP. ZZ TOP's image has been as unchanging and memorable as their music. ZZ TOP have been together for more than 40 years and were inducted by Keith Richards into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004. The band's iconography — beards, cars, girls and that magic keychain — transcend all bounds of geography and language. They've been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms and are true rock icons. Billy F Gibbons is one of America's finest blues guitarists while Dusty Hill on bass and Frank Beard on drums (ironically the only member without a beard) provide the ultimate rhythm section support.

ROSE TATTOO join GUNS N' ROSES and ZZ TOP on the tour. The lineup features lead vocalist Angry Anderson, Dai Pritchard, Paul DeMarco, Geordie Leach and Randall Waller. ROSE TATTOO is touted as the best bar-room-blues-based rock band in the world and one of the most revered bands of all time. Inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 2006, their hits include "Bad Boy For Love", "Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw", "Nice Boys", "We Can't Be Beaten" and "Scarred For Life".

Tickets go on sale through various outlets on Friday, January 25 at 9 a.m.

The dates are as follows:

March 09 - Perth, WA, Australia - Perth Arena
March 12 - Sydney, NSW, Australia - Allphones Arena
March 13 - Newcastle, NSW, Australia - Hunter Stadium
March 17 - Melbourne, VIC, Australia - Sidney Myer Music Bowl
March 20 - Brisbane, QLD, Australia - Brisbane Entertainment Centre

in Oz it is...although they've missed Adelaide (and truth be told, its worth skipping)...but there looks to be enough days between the shows to add second ones if they sell...that's a big IF - as there are a few bands coming here around the same time which already people have paid good money (>$150 a ticket) to see...I'd rather go a see the Tatts play at a local pub for $20...Axl can go fuck himself...

The new ZZ Top album La Futura is pretty happening, actually. Check it out sometime. Highly recommended. It's weird that ZZ Top would be opening for anyone at this point. Such is the music business...

There's 5 major cities in Australia. So yeah, 5 shows is an Australian tour. I don't understand how that doesn't make sense for you?

Well remember, this is Guns N Roses. The last 3 dates will probably be canceled. The 1st show will feature a 3 hour gap between ZZ Top and GNR. The 2nd show's gap will be closer to 5 hours. The End.

Watched a vid of a recent GNR show. Meh. It ain't Guns N Roses. Technically it might be - and it's not like it was bad, really. Just nice and safe - everyone knew their parts and played well. But it was like watching paint dry. A total by-the-numbers, phone-it-in performance by a bunch of hired guns who coulda been anybody. Axl sounded good on some stuff- but totally blew chunks on other signature tunes. Plus he's fat AND bald.

I'm glad I saw Guns N Rose in the clubs of Los Angeles before they made it - when they were young, fucked-up, and bad ass.

I'll have no part of Bill Bailey's "review".

I realize ZZ is not metal. But a band that has been around since 1969,carried the flag of rock/blues proudly, and has it's original members. This shows a lack of respect from Axhole.

How does that show a lack of respect from Axl? What it shows is glaring ignorance on your part.

The amount of time a band has been around, and whether they have all original members has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether or not they should be headlining over another band. Whether you deem them currently relevant or not, the simple fact is that Guns 'n Roses is a much bigger name, certainly on a global scale, and have sold MANY more records.

Again, while what you're saying might be true, it has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not they should be headlining.

Everyone gave me the thumb down with no argument. No other band sounds like AC/DC (Bon era) more then Rose Tattoo. Not Krokus, early Def Lep, UDO, Sin City Sinner.

While you Americans listened to your Queensryche, Great White in the late 80's i was turned on too the mighty Rose Tattoo.

Expand your mind Blabbernerds.

So none of you loads like Motorhead? Judas Priest? Iron Maiden? Dream Theatre? AC/DC? They don't have their original members. Motorhead is the perfect example. The current line-up outlasted the original, contribute/write/new personalities, and made Motorhead a better band.

You loads don't get it...

should leave after ZZTOP instead of waiting for axel and his cover band to take the stage. Rose Tattoo would be great to see in concert. scarred for life is a killer song along with branded and we can' be beaten. serious rock and roll there,to bad they never hit big.

usual whiners. "Late starts" - stay the hell home if you're that old, you don't belong at a rock concert. "Cancelled gigs" - the band hasn't cancelled any more than a show or two since 2006. They've been touring steady since the end of 2009.

Won Ultimate Classic Rock's tour of the year in 2011 and 2012.

ZZ Top's new album is the first one in ages that I've liked. That 'I've got to get paid' song is fantastic.

Rose Tattoo? Remember who covered them back in the early days? GN'R. Fantastic tour.

I second whoever said bring this to North America. With Motorhead or Rose Tattoo. Or both. All four of those bands would be fucking sick.

Dudes come on. You know damn well Gn'R draws more than ZZ Top. There's now way in hell that ZZ Top would close out the show. Yeah, yeah they've been around longer and all that good stuff, I know. This happens all the time where a band with seniority opens for a band simply because they sell more.

I seen ZZ Top with Skynyrd this past summer. They didn't sound all that good. They just sounded tired. I'm not talking shit. I like they bluesy ZZ Top. But it just sounds like they have no energy left. They closed show. Skynyrd sounded much better, And they played first. Which i think was a mistake. I don't know how anyone would follow Free Bird.. And i like ZZ Top better than Skynyrd
