QUICKSAND's 'Manic Compression' To Be Made Available On Colored Vinyl - Jan. 16, 2013
SRC Vinyl will release QUICKSAND's "Manic Compression" on vinyl on February 26. The gatefold LP, available in four colors is now up for pre-order at this location.

The second studio album by the highly revered post-hardcore band, "Manic Compression" was originally released on February 28, 1995 via Island Records. It was their most successful release, peaking at number 135 on The Billboard 200. In a review of the LP, AllMusic.com claimed, "QUICKSAND is about sheer sound, in all of its distorted glory. If you like that sound, the album delivers the goods."

Saw these guys a number of times back in the day, I believe they headlined the first Warped Tour. Amazing band, unforgettable album! Their first album "Slip" is also not to be missed.

I really wanted to love this record as I loved 'Slip'.
...it didn't work out like that.

Yeah I agree with douche patrol. I thought Slip was amazing and still do. But Manic was disappointing. The production is really flat and takes away from the music and the writing is subpar compared to Slip...just my opinion.

it definitely aint as good as "Slip"... if you are a Quicksand fan there was a great Irish band sometime ago that sounded quite like Slip era Quicksand... http://www.myspace.com/electricredband
