CANNABIS CORPSE Signs To SEASON OF MIST - Jan. 16, 2013
Season Of Mist has announced the signing of death metal powerhouse CANNABIS CORPSE. The Richmond, Virginia-based band is currently recording its new album for a late spring release.

Regarding the new deal, the group said: "CANNABIS CORPSE cannot express how excited we are to join the ranks of Season Of Mist, as so many groundbreaking metal bands are on the roster.

"We are knee deep in recording our new album and feel like this material is our most original and memorable to date.

"We were founded as a way to honor the Floridian fathers of death metal and this new record will be no exception. We're looking forward to seeing what the future has in store!"

CANNABIS CORPSE is the project of MUNICIPAL WASTE bassist Phil "LandPhil" Hall and his brother Josh "Hallhammer" Hall. The band, rounded out by guitarist Brent Purgason (a.k.a. Pustulus Maximus of GWAR), has released three well-received full-length albums, and toured the world alongside THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, REVOCATION, HATE ETERNAL, SKELETONWITCH and more.

Cannabis Corpse is amazing. Thought they would be a bad parody band. Picked up Blunted and Beneath... and holy crap was I mistaken. If you have any doubts listen to this:

I'll get thumbed down but I actually think Cannabis is better than Cannibal. Cannibal got stale, Cannabis covers a lot more ground with their music.

This Band is awesome. Bullshitted with Brent for awhile at the last GWAR show and he seemed like a nice guy. Told him to come back to Atlanta with Cannabis as I missed em last time around. I didn't hear them until a month after they came to town. Can't wait for the new album.
