NWOBHM legends DIAMOND HEAD will make two trips to North America this year. The first will be in April and will cover the East Coast, Canada, and the Midwest. The second leg of the band's U.S. tour will take place in October and will include dates on the West Coast and in the South.

April 11 - Wilmington, DE - Mojo 13
April 12 - Brooklyn, NY - Saint Vitus Bar
April 13 - Amityville, NY - Ollie's Point Place
April 14 - Seymour, CT - Dewy's
April 15 - Montreal, QC - Foufounes Électrique
April 16 - Quebec City, QC - Coop l'Agité
April 17 - Clarence, NY - Club Infinity
April 18 - Pittsburgh, PA - Dead Horse Cantina and Music Hall

April 21 - Chicago, IL - Reggies
April 22 - Cleveland, OH - Peabody's
April 25 - Long Branch, NJ - Brighton Bar
April 26 - Allentown, PA – Jimmy's Place

For the first time in its 37-year history, DIAMOND HEAD made its way stateside for a U.S. tour in the summer of 2011.

DIAMOND HEAD's only previous U.S. appearance was at the Metal Meltdown IV festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey in 2002 for a sold-out show with fellow British stalwarts SAXON and WITCHFYNDE. Now, for the first time ever, DIAMOND HEAD's U.S. fans got the opportunity to see the band perform live.

The tour kicked off in Seattle on August 15, 2011 and concluded in New York City on September 1, 20111.

DIAMOND HEAD's first-ever appearance with the "Big Four" (METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH), the artists on whom they had a major influence, at the Sonisphere festivals in the U.K. and France, was followed by their first performances in Canada, playing with MOTÖRHEAD, and MEGADETH at the Heavy TO festival in Toronto, along with an appearance with GIRLSCHOOL, MOTÖRHEAD and KISS, at the Heavy MTL festival in Montreal.

Professionally filmed video footage of DIAMOND HEAD performing on July 23 at the Heavy T.O. festival at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada can be seen below.

Sean Harris' rich, powerful voice is what made Diamond Head stand out to me and I am not as interested in them without him...still might see the show since it is occurring just a few blocks from my house !

Sean Harris couldn't be bothered to come out to the states and tour with Diamond Head, but Metallica snaps their fingers and he appears in San Francisco instantly. Totally weak.

New guy sounds just like Sean Harris minus the questionable clothing. Agreed it's not the real thing, but it's probably the closest thing we're gonna get here in the states.

I WAS WATCHING SOME FRIENDS PLAY AT A SMALL BAR IN DANVILLE,CA. I GUESS HE HAS SOME FAMILY THERE. SO, NEXT THING I KNOW HE GETS UP AND JAMS A COUPLE SONGS WITH THEM.

IT WAS BOTH COOL AND WEIRD AT THE SAME TIME. NICE GUY. JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE CHOPS THAT NIGHT.

oh man, wish I had known about the shows with Witchfynde and Saxon. Sounds like a mighty line up. Don't think I'm interested in just seeing Diamond Head though, especially with only one original member.

I saw them last year in the Twin Cities and it was a dream come true. They were fucking awesome. I think the "new" singer is great. Of course, I love the original band. But I honestly don't think Sean Harris wants to do it on this level and Brian is more than happy to go play for the fans. What's wrong with that? Diamond Head kicks ass and I'd go see them again in a heartbeat!
