DAVE GROHL And SOUND CITY PLAYERS Announce Los Angeles Concert - Jan. 15, 2013
Dave Grohl and his SOUND CITY PLAYERS will perform at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California on Thursday, January 31 immediately following the Los Angeles premiere of "Sound City: Real To Reel", a new documentary produced and directed by Grohl. Joining Dave at the gig will be fellow FOO FIGHTERS members Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Nate Mendel, his former NIRVANA bandmate Krist Novoselic, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's Brad Wilk and hardcore punk rock icon Lee Ving of FEAR as well as musical icons Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield and Rick Nielsen of CHEAP TRICK.

As previously reported, SOUND CITY PLAYERS will also perform at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on January 18.

The Utah show sold out within minutes of going on sale January 9 and will celebrate the official premiere — earlier in the day on January 18 — of "Sound City: Real To Reel".

The documentary chronicles the history of Sound City, a legendary Los Angeles studio at which dozens of classic rock albums were recorded. Grohl interviewed a number of artists for the film and also arranged for older and contemporary artists to collaborate on new music for the project.

"Sound City" will be available in theaters, on DVD and on demand on February 1. It can be pre-ordered directly from Grohl at the official film web site.

An accompanying soundtrack album will arrive on March 12. A song from that collection, "Cut Me Some Slack", featuring the members of NIRVANA and Paul McCartney, was released last month.

on second thought...this this is fuckin 90 bucks
I've decided to pass

I've been lucky enough to see Foo's at Troubador, Grohl with Queens at Troubador...and even caught Nirvana

for 90 bucks...not sure I want to see Grohl do "Jessie's Girl" with Rick Springfield.....

Stevie Nicks is cool....but other than that....not too many guests that I'll be bummed I missed

I'm sure it will be a fun show...but I wish tickets were half the price....
