Video: On Stage With KISS Before The Curtain Drops - Jan. 13, 2013
KISS' official web site, KissOnline.com, has uploaded video behind-the-scenes footage of the crew and KISS preparing to take the stage in Holmdel, New Jersey on September 22, 2012. The clip, which was shot by Keith Leroux, was filmed with a night-vision camera, and the first part of the video is silent because LED ZEPPELIN's "Rock and Roll" was playing in the amphitheater, and YouTube was blocking the video due to the background audio. Fran Stewart is captured doing the famous "you wanted the best" intro before the band breaks into "Detroit Rock City".

"Monster", the 20th studio album from KISS, sold 56,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart.

KISS' previous CD, "Sonic Boom", opened with 108,000 units back in October 2009 to enter the chart at No. 2. This marked the band's highest-charting LP ever.

KISS has notched nine Top 10 albums, according to Billboard.com. Its previous highest-charting set was 1998's "Psycho Circus", which debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 110,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group's other high-charting sets include 1975's "Alive!" (No. 9), 1977's "Love Gun" (No. 4) and 1992's "Revenge" (No. 6).

Only reason it did as well as it did was Paul and Gene lied and said it was a Kiss album.

The early albums (70's) contain some truly classic material - pure n' simple rock n' roll fun. That said - the modern day KISS continue to put out a good song here and there, but always put on a great rock n' roll spectacle. Showmanship is the key to the band's continued success.

Loud rock n' roll. Fire. Explosions. Lights. It's a KISS show - all sorts of fun. So - what the fuck is wrong with that? Nothing.

I think Monster is the most solid KISS record to come out since Revenge. That being said, I saw them on the last tour (as I'm sure alot of you did to), and I gotta say musically it was a bit of a letdown. Paul's voice was shot, and Eric's drumming on some of the old songs seemed a bit too busy to me. I still will love this band to the day I die, and will always support the music, but they're definitely starting to show their age. I guess the show goes on though.

exactly life goes on and Kiss are still many times better then lot of younger bands and at least many times better both live and on album then the shit thats on the charts. and at least these bands are putting out albums unlike many of the shits that going on today and lousy radio djs always talking about the new song or next new song by this artist even if they have an album out, its like they dont even care they just get some song to play on the radio and play it, completely brainless

"at least"'s don't cut it.
it may when you're talking about any other band or type of music that you might like. but if you're a hardcore, old school, original, real Kiss fan - then "at least they don't suck as bad as fm radio boy bands" just don't cut it.
In my opinion, being a true fan, Kiss set the bar high with their originality, live shows, and music. they did what they had to to survive in the late 80's and 90's (without tarnishing their classic roots), but now are shitting all over themselves.
True fans can see this and will speak our minds. Yes, Kiss still sells tickets, some albums, and plenty of merchandise. Doesn't make it right.
Thayer and Singer SUCK ASS. Decent musicians, but licking Gene and Paul's ball sack is a sad way to make a living. They are JOKES - which in turn makes GENE, PAUL, and KISS JOKES.
