BRING ME THE HORIZON: New Song Premieres On BBC Radio 1 - Jan. 4, 2013
"Shadow Moses", the new single from British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON, was premiered earlier today (Friday, January 4) on BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show" with Daniel P. Carter and can now be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track will be released digitally next week.

"Shadow Moses" is the first single from BRING ME THE HORIZON's fourth album, "Sempiternal", which will be released later in the year via RCA. The follow-up to 2010's "There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret" was recorded in part at Angelic Studio in Banbury, Oxfordshire with producer Terry Date, who has previously worked with such acts as DEFTONES, PANTERA, SOUNDGARDEN and PRONG.

"I've never been so confident about an album," BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oli Sykes told Kerrang! magazine. "It makes our last record just sound shit. We're doing stuff we could never dreamed of doing before."

BRING ME THE HORIZON performed "Shadow Moses" live for the first time when they played their only U.K. show of 2012 at the Alexandra Palace in London on November 10 as the co-headliners of the Vans Warped Tour with LOSTPROPHETS.

"There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret" sold 20,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 17 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD also entered the official chart in the U.K. at position No. 13.

So let me be the devi's advocate on this one...

You will never listen to a band because of the way they dress... What the hell does that say about their music?? Nothing.

I'm not saying this band is the next Slayer or their guitarists are the next Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, but man is that a moronic way of thinking.

I for one enjoy some of their songs. Not one of my favorite bands by a longshot, but sometimes a guilty pleassure. Their last album was actually full of many non-metalcore arrangements.

I personally don't give a damn what their haircuts are. Kids will dress the way they want nowadays, just like metalheads in the 80's dressed the way they wanted. At least they play heavy music and may actually get kids to listen to other heavy bands aside from metalcore.

I remember when I really liked these guys when they had the deathcore sound on their 1st album, now it's just whiny emo shit, it's ok for a listen, but I just can't get into it at all, the chorus is boring and just makes for a boring breakdown. Nothing worse when a band has a great 1st album and then they change their sound slowly over a few albums and just ends up sounding nothing like their early stuff and just bad.
