SEPULTURA Drummer Gets Tattooed: New Video Footage - Dec. 24, 2012
New video footage of SEPULTURA drummer Eloy Casagrande getting a tattoo at the Edu Nascimentto Tattoo studio in São Paulo, Brazil can be seen below.

SEPULTURA played its first show with Casagrande (GLÓRIA, ANDRÉ MATOS) on November 25, 2011 in Lichtenfels, Germany.

Casagrande joined SEPULTURA as the replacement for Jean Dolabella, who left the band because he could no longer handle being away from home for long periods of time.

Eloy is a 21-year-old drum prodigy from São Paulo, Brazil who won the Modern Drummer "Undiscovered Drummer" contest as a teenager in 2006.

Asked what Casagrande has added to the band, SEPULTURA singer Derrick Green told Metal Hammer, "Definitely the fact that he's young and that energy helps a lot. He's a very disciplined drummer — he's been playing since he was seven. And he's been doing a lot of things by himself and playing with different people, and that's really, really impressive. He had a lot of things put together before we even met him; he's already done so much. And I think with us, a combination us together, it's a great learning process for him to grow and at the same time, we're learning a lot from him, so we can do this together. And this is something extremely important when you're doing a band that's been together for so long, to have this connection. And we felt this connection with him immediately. And we could tell that he was very focused and very committed to doing extremely good music."

Dolabella left SEPULTURA after a five-year run of relentless touring and two studio albums. He joined SEPULTURA in 2006 following the departure of the band's original drummer, Igor Cavalera.

SEPULTURA has spent most of the past year and half on tour in support of its 12th studio album, and Nuclear Blast Records debut, "Kairos", which hit stores in July 2011.

It is definitely the second time we have seen this same story about the same tattoo. This site gets more pathetic by the day.

That's not Sepultura. Not to me, anyway.

Unlike Max, if Andreas and Paulo tried to tour or sell CD's under any other name, they'd go broke. Losers.

A couple months ago when this was posted I said it was boring. Now that I see it again, I realize just how much more boring it actually is.

to the same story... http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=179954 ...where he gets additional artwork added to the same tattoo.

It clearly says "New video footage". These are the first three words of the article. Learn how to fucking read.

Like I said, back in the day if you had a tattoo you'd be different. But now? Pfff, even the most ignorant human beings have tattoos.

If you wanna be different start by using your damn brain and being a better person not some twat that looks like a 90's comic book.

I couldn't care less about the tattoo footage.

I'm admittedly not a big Sepultura fan .. I don't know very much about them .. so I won't comment on if the current lineup being legit or not...

But, the Drum solo footage is incredible... this kid can play.
