OPERATIKA ELEMENT: New Single Available For Streaming - Dec. 19, 2012
"Haunting In The Night", the new single from New York/New Jersey-based symphonic power metallers OPERATIKA ELEMENT (formerly OPERATIKA), can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The song, which was mixed by Neil Kernon (QUEENSRŸCHE, NEVERMORE, NILE), will be released on Amazon and iTunes in the near future. The cover artwork for the single was created by Alexandra V Bach, who also designed OPERATIKA's album cover for "The Calling".

"Haunting In The Night" features a special guest appearance by Mike LePond (SYMPHONY X) on bass.

OPERATIKA ELEMENT's new full-length album will be issued in 2013.

OPERATIKA ELEMENT is:

Slava Popova - Lead Vocals
Anna Dok - Vocals, Keyboards
Boris Zaks - Keyboards, Violin
Richard Fischer - Guitar, Vocals
Yuri Liakhovitch - Drums

OPERATIKA's debut album, "The Calling", was released in Europe in October 2008 through Scarlet Records.

Why? It's even worse than Rhapsody of Fire.

I was expecting more from this egotistical brady bunch with their barrage of advertisements about their upcoming single.

In the original Operatika Bill Visser's shredding camouflaged how truly weak Slava Poplova's vocal chops are but it is really evident in this new setting sans Visser that she has no vocal range, has a very weak voice, and weak even amongst the softer voices in this style of metal.

Musically the arrangement was worse than the vocals. A mistake that most newbees make first run out is think everything they do is so great and profound, include it all, and when they are finished the whole thing sounds way overcooked. This song was over 3 minutes through. The guitar solo seemed like an after thought thrown in and the guitar sound is mismatched to the rest of the music. The drums, like a digital fart sampled to a metronome. I couldn't tell you what the lyrics are about it, were there lyrics? No melody. Really, two keyboardists? send one back to the starship enterprise, not much of note going on from either of them.

Bravo to blabbermouth for publishing news about this sh**. Comedy gold.
