Keith Deen, former vocalist of 1980s Los Angeles thrashers
HOLY TERROR, died on Thursday, December 13 after a three-month battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.
HOLY TERROR was formed in the mid-1980s by
Kurt Colfelt (a.k.a.
Kurt Kilfelt; ex-
AGENT STEEL) and ex-
DARK ANGEL drummer
Jack Schwarz, who left before the release of the band's first album, 1987's
"Terror And Submission". A follow-up effort,
"Mind Wars", was issued in 1988.
Stated
Colfelt: "With the loss of
Keith Deen, a part of me is gone as well."
After resurrecting
HOLY TERROR in 2005,
Colfelt revealed that he "attempted to get in touch" with
Deen about having him front the band again but that
Keith's non-response was a clear signal that the singer was not interested in taking part in the group's reunion.
A
HOLY TERROR DualDisc release,
"El Revengo", came out in 2006 through the U.K.-based label
Blackend Records. The DVD side on the DualDisc featured live footage as well as the
"Judas Reward" video.
