SEPULTURA: 25th-Anniversary Beer Launched - Dec. 16, 2012
Bushido Brazil and Bamberg recently released the SEPULTURA Weizen beer to celebrate the 25 years of the legendary Brazilian/American thrash metal band. The drink is said to have "a turbidity caused by natural yeast in suspension" and "aroma and flavors of banana and clove from a special strain of yeast that produces the chemicals that lead to these perceptions."

Video footage of the SEPULTURA Weizen beer launch, which was held this past October in Bamberg, Germany, can be seen below.

SEPULTURA's 12th studio album, and Nuclear Blast Records debut, "Kairos", hit stores in July 2011.

21-year-old drummer Eloy Casagrande joined SEPULTURA last year as the replacement for Jean Dolabella, who left the band because he could no longer handle being away from home for long periods of time.

No Max & Igor = No Sepultura.

I don't hate the guys. I even respect Derrick Green. But really! Only Paulo Jr was in the band back then. That would be like Napam Death celebrating 30 years.. Oh wait, idiot Barney did that on his last tour...

Sepultura's status is almost identical to Cannibal Corpse. different singer who's good but not the original founding member. Both bands should call themselves somehting else.

I don't like this line up at all but it was Max's and Igor's decision to leave the band. While there is a chance they could get away with it or at least get a percentage of the name it would be a dick move to do it at this point.

If band name ownership really worked like how all you yahoos want it to then why the fuck would anyone ever join an established band? You put in all those years of hard work and still don't get any credit because you "weren't there from the start."

Real men don't drink Weizen anyway. Bands will do anything these days to make up for lack of record sales, inclusing selling their own wheat beer....which they probably have absolutley nothing to do with other than the packaging. Not even Max can save them now.

Um, am I crazy or was Sep's 25th year anniversary actually several years ago? 25 years puts them as starting in '87, which is way off.

I love Beer. I will have to sample some Sepultura beer. Beneath The Remains is one of my favorite Thrash/Death Metal albums of all time. Arise is great too, but Beneath The Remains is what took me from straight Thrash to even Heavier Metal. It was a groundbreaking album. Brutal, but original. The vocal sound is wicked. Every song on that album is killer. Same with Arise.
The guitar riffs, and Drums are over the top.

Sepultura is my fourth favorite band. Every album stands out. I do not have Dante XXI, but I loved A-Lex, and Kairos was a great comeback.

That's awesome they put this beer out. I love independent Brews, and Micro Brews.
