ANGRA Taps Singer FABIO LIONE For 70000 TONS OF METAL Performance - Dec. 13, 2012
Brazilian metallers ANGRA have tapped acclaimed Italian vocalist Fabio Lione (VISION DIVINE, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, KAMELOT) to front the band for their next performance, to be held on board 70000 Tons Of Metal, the world's biggest heavy metal cruise.

Singer Eduardo "Edu" Falaschi quit ANGRA in May. He explained in a statement, "There comes a moment in a man's life when it is necessary to make a radical decision in order to move forward with dignity and renewed energy."

Falaschi joined ANGRA in 2000 and appeared on the band's last four studio albums — 2001's "Rebirth", 2004's "Temple Of Shadows", 2006's "Aurora Consurgens" and 2010's "Aqua".

In January 2013, 40 heavy metal bands and 2,000 fans from all over the world will go to the Caribbean to take over the luxury cruise ship "Majesty Of The Seas" for 5 days and 4 nights.

70000 Tons Of Metal will sail Monday, January 28, 2013 aboard the Royal Caribbean "Majesty Of The Seas" from Miami, Florida and will not return you to the real world for four days until Friday, February 1, 2013.

I would love to hear Fabio singing Angra songs. Too bad Angra's last album was a disaster. Seems they lost the capacity to write good songs. I could care less about the shredding and virtousity, I much prefer to hear good songs.

Eduardo "Edu" Falaschi did the right thing leaving Angra to focus on Almah. He's a fantastic singer. Almah has great, strong songs and he can still get to play the old Angra songs with his band.

Fabio is the best!

Ever.

Yes, he can sing your favorite band's songs better than their singer can.

Hopefully Renato Tribuzy will join Angra though.

Can't wait to see the live footage of this show, hopefully some fans bring good cameras! Fabio is amazing. Angra is amazing.

While I did like Angra's last album, I have to agree it just wasn't as good as their previous stuff.. but they were overdue for a "dud" if I can even call it that. Anyhow, I partially have to blame Edu for that because I just didn't like his voice on that album. It sounded weak, he is much better for Almah.

He was really good filling in for Khan in Kamelot. They should have picked him instead of Tommy Karevik.
