GUNS N' ROSES Dedicates Delhi Concert To Late Sitar Legend PANDIT RAVI SHANKAR - Dec. 13, 2012

According to India TV, GUNS N' ROSES paid tribute to late sitar legend Pandit Ravi Shankar during the band's Delhi performance last night (Wednesday, December 12). The group's lead singer, Axl Rose, told the crowd during the concert, "We dedicate this show to Pandit Ravi Shankar, who passed away today."

Three-time Grammy winner Ravi Shankar died at the age of 92 in a La Jolla, California hospital, where he underwent heart-related surgery last Thursday.

In addition sole original member Axl Rose, the current lineup of GUNS N' ROSES includes guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Richard Fortus and DJ Ashba, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer.

Axl heard from his management that Pandit Ravi Shankar was "late", and paid a big tribute to him on stage. It was only afterwards that Axl learned that he was late as in dead, not tardy. Axl then fired his management for the confusion.

Axl jumped into the crowd and punched someone for taking a picture of him, further promoting the peace that Shankar preached.

It's a good thing this didnot come from hakk slash, his weak ass playing does not justify any legendary status by any standard.
