ALTER BRIDGE Planning New Studio Album, World Tour - Dec. 12, 2012
According to a December 11 tweet by ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti, he and two of his bandmates — singer Myles Kennedy and drummer Scott Phillips — met up with their management in their home state of Florida to plan the group's immediate future. Although Tremonti did not offer any additional details, a posting on AlterBridge.com indicates that ALTER BRIDGE's 2013 schedule will include a new studio album and a world tour.

ALTER BRIDGE's latest album, "ABIII", was self-released on Alter Bridge Recordings via EMI Label Services and debuted at #17 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The band issued a DVD, "Live At Wembley", at the end of March. The disc contains footage of one of the biggest headline shows of ALTER BRIDGE's career, which took place on November 29, 2011 at Wembley Arena in London, England.

ALTER BRIDGE is Kennedy, Tremonti, Phillips and Brian Marshall.

Urgh. I want to hear Myles Kennedy's solo album first. He's had it recorded for ages but justs needs to finalise his vocals and release it.

Tremonti isn't a particularly original guitarist but AB are ok for a listen now and again. Can see the next album being more of the same.

Why does he have to say he was in the meeting when he started the sentence with "Had a meeting..."?

I know that the rest of the guys in AB would like to get going again but with Myles singing with Slash during any off time from AB his availability is going to reach critical mass. Slash says that he wants to do another record with Myles in 2013 so does he leave Slash hanging or does he leave Alter Bridge hanging? Slash has also committed to the Japan Ozz Fest next year as well.

not appreciate AB? Sounds too generic. I respect Tremonti and Myles, I just can't get excited about their music. What am I missing? I wasn't a Creed fan either. Sold in the millions. Am I a bad judge of talent? I did like some of the new Tremonti solo stuff. I like classic type of rock bands. What is new that fits the description?

Hopefully this means any working with Creed will be postponed indefinately. Alter Bridge is always heavy, haven't heard the last album I see.
