GT actually (kind of) said something true and I actually (kind of) agree with him. The split was all about money. The band was tired of GT and his family taking it all so they fired his family. We also agree that a lot of discussion would have to take place for a reunion. It would start with GT getting on his knees and begging the band for forgiveness ans begging them to take him back.

1. They fired his aging stripper harpy of a wife as their manager and immediately signed on with LiveNation. The fact that LiveNation came calling as soon as Tate's drunk ass was gone should tell you something.

2. They sold out back-to-back shows in the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe while Tate couldn't even give tickets away to a gig at Seattle's Studio 7. The fact that even hometown fans would rather support the rest of the band instead of GT should be another clue.

They spent six months on the road playing to massive crowds and working to redeem the QR name by actually playing songs that people want to hear, and doing it in the proper key, at the proper tempo, and with a singer who knows what the fuck he's doing and who can hit the high notes. Meanwhile, Tate is playing half empty dive bars while actual dive bar bands laugh at the jokers he has backing him.

The fact that the vast majority of the diehards and the QR fan club Empires are supporting the real band over Tate and his drunk, delusional ass is the key. People are excited about Queensryche being a metal band again. 2013 will be awesome just because that bald, fat, vest-wearing, wine-swilling asshole and his family and his hangers-on are GONE.

Thanks for the links. Buying Queensryche's cd as soon as it is released, and waiting anxiously for Queensryche to hit town. I'm so stoked, I'll buy a few extra tickets and invite a few friends that have never seen them in concert. Didn't buy Kings and Thieves, and passed on Tate's show here last month. I spend my $$$ on music that resonates with me. Old Queensryche rocked. However, Tate isn't the same guy musically, or in his professinal behavior. In 2012 and 2013 I'll choose Queensryche and not Tate.

Yes it is. Finally, after all these months, Geoff Taint has said one thing that I agree with. It is all about money, because Team Taint had seized control of the band, and the merchandise, and was attempting to sell the Operation: Mindcrime film rights without including the rest of the band. Wilton, Rockenfield, and Jackson really had no choice but to fire Geoff Taint, because he was destroying their livelihood. Good for them.
