I could walk around a queensryche show when Geoff ( one of the greatist rock vocalist of all time) was fronting it and ask the entire crowd who Geoff was and who Wilton was and I guarantee you dorks that " at least " twice as many people would know who Geoff was : FACT.........

And on a side note Wilton can't claim that he was one of the greatist player's of rock : FACT

I've met both. Michael Wilton is a cool dude. Good to talk to, total gentleman, definitely a nice guy. Tate is an arrogant ass and the less said about his harpy of a wife, the better.

Queensryche are SO much better off now that they've kicked that bald, fat, vest-wearing, drunk, delusional asshole Tate out of the band and brought in a real singer who knows what the fuck he's doing and who takes care of himself. Can't wait to see what these guys come out with in 2013.

They had a good reason to do what they did. Come on the band fired Geoff and that says a lot. Mike is not doing this for publicity he's simply an accomplished musician supporting and backing instruments pure and simple. Singers are mostly attention getters. If Mike is using Queensryche for promotion reasons its understandable. He deserves it not the guy who got fired by the majority. Finally when you get family involved in band business its never a good outcome. I know Geoff loves his family and means well but don't mix family with business affairs. Geoff did the unthinkable and he chose that path on his own. Wish you well Geoff but this is the Pink Floyd episode. Roger Waters wanted the name but lost a lot of money in court cost. you better think twice. Get the picture? Go get 'em Mike.

I've been a fan of this band since the EP and have bought and enjoyed every album.

Crashbang, what do you mean bring on both new Records? Taye just releazed his. The real queensryche will put theirs out in 2013. Tate cannot put out an album under the band he was fired from. The dumb judge in the case seemed inexperienced in cases like this, and she allowed bth to tour under the name until the court case or Tate takes his settlement.

I already have the GT cd. (Pretty tough to find in Saskatoon!) To me it's still a very new cd.

IMO, the only reason GT is actually going out as Queensryche is to maintain his claim on the band name. If he demonstrates that he doesn't need it or use it, the likelihood that the judgement will go against him rises. In this type of thing, public recognition and constant use of the name are important.

I actually do think that GT could put out a cd under the QR name but I don't think that it's in his, or the band's best interest to do so.

If I were QR, I'd hold off until the fall of 2013 after the court judgement. Perhaps they are doing the same thing as GT and simply establishing the use of the name for themselves?

one of the most underrated guitar players of 1980s Metal - his work on the first 4 releases is stellar and should be recognised as such.

Looking forward to hear his return to form on the new album!
