CHURCHBURN: New Rehearsal Footage Posted Online - Dec. 11, 2012
Video footage of CHURCHBURN's December 9 rehearsal session in Rhode Island can be seen below.

CHURCHBURN is the musical collaboration between two of the undergrounds masters of misery Dave Suzuki, best known for his mesmerizing guitar work and brutal drumming in VITAL REMAINS and Ray McCaffrey, who carved out sonic drum patterns for SIN OF ANGELS and GRIEF.

According to a press release, Suzuki and McCaffrey have set out to share with the world their love of the riff, not only the heaviest but also the most haunting. Each song is crafted with the most sinister of intent. CHURCHBURN wants the listener to feel a true sense of dread as the song progresses.

"CHURCHBURN is very different from VITAL REMAINS," said Suzuki. "Ray and I wanted to do something slow and heavy...just something pummeling to the listener."

CHURCHBURN is:

Dave Suzuki - Guitar, Vocals
Ray Mccaffrey - Drums, Vocals
Shawn McCoy - Guitar
Kevin Edwards - Bass

The band is currently in talks with several labels about a four-song EP vinyl release, tentatively due in early 2013.

But man Dave can sure play better than that! Not only that he can play the drums damn good too. Forever Underground was very underrated.

I was expecting some Satanic, VR/Deicide?Amon-esqe Death Metal. Too bad. Dave is great at that. Still, he is actually a super cool guy. Met him at the 2003 Milwaukee Metalfest with VR. Might pick it up to support him.
