In the interview below, Absolute Radio presenter Russ Williams spoke to Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from AEROSMITH about the band's new album, "Music From Another Dimension!"; how important it is for the original lineup to be back together; and surprised Joe with the news that AEROSMITH the best-selling American rock band of all time.

The CD arrived in stores on November 6 via Columbia Records.

I gave it a serious few listens as I have been a big fan since 1979 and this album is as hokey and trite as it's cover and title. There's NOTHING worth having on this record. I found a few gems on Just Push Play even but this album sounds like shit both sonically and musically. WTF ??!!

I agree, Just Push play is far more listenable, there are a few good ones. This new one, LuvXXX is very good. Its creative, and something new sounding. The rest is either fluff, or regurgiation, such as Legendary Child. That song sounds like most of the "rock" songs from the last 15 years, but further watered down...that riff Joe plays in the beginning(the Hendrix 3rd stone from Sun riff) could be rockin' if it wasn't so over produced...the main riff is watered down Wanton song, the verse taken right from Eat the Rich.

Ballads on top of Ballads. Rough to take, Diane Warren, that Country Pop singer, what are they thinking? Marty Frederiksen. God. Very disappointing. each time out, it just gets poppier. one of my favorite all time bands, but its unlistenable....heard the Joe Perry song? awful.

America is dumb, is something like a dumb puppy that has big teeth — that can bite and hurt you, aggressive." America is not only dumb, but also a country not suitable for raising Depp's children. If anything, Depp wants his children to experience the United States "like it's a kind a toy — a broken toy maybe. Investigate a little bit, check it out, get this feeling and then get out."

Aerosmith new material wise has fallen far and beyond redemption. It's a damn good thing, they still kick ass live, cause the new album is pretty weak as hell. Disappointed in Jack Douglas too. He should have given them the kick in the ass they needed.

It was alright. My picks: Oh Yeah, Luv XXX, Beautiful, What Could Have Been Love, Lover Alot. Street Jesus was OK. Another Last Goodbye = worst song on the album, unbearable. And I am a decently big Aero fan

Really? Now, get off the shroon kool-aid and have another listen. It's fucking HORRIBLE! Wait, pathetically horrible for a band like Aerosmith. Bringing back Jack Douglas to produce was the biggest ruse the band could think of to make long time Aerosmith fans believe this was going to be a ROCKING Aerosmith album. What did we get? 6 fucking ballads, and a duet with a country artist, wtf? They are TRYING WAY to fucking hard to stay relevant and get back into the top 40 and have their new songs played on the radio. Hey Steve, Joe, newsflash motherfuckers, that's not happening ever, never, ever again in your career. At least Kiss with MONSTER put out an album with all rocking tunes with no thought process of having a hit single. Remember when you fuckers would sit in a room, with NO outside writers and come out with oh, let's say "ROCKS"? "Get your wings"? "Toys in the attic"? "Draw the Line"? Oh, the shame & humanity of it all.
