DIO DISCIPLES Bassist BJORN ENGLEN Interviewed On 'The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show' - Dec. 5, 2012
Eric Blair of "The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show" conducted an interview with Bjorn Englen (born Björn Erik Englén in Växjö, Sweden), the bass player for SOUL SIGN, DIO DISCIPLES and TONY MACALPINE, at this past Saturday's (December 1) Icons & Idols-Rock 'N' Roll Auction at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California. You can now watch the chat below.

DIO DISCIPLES is the project featuring former DIO members Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar), Scott Warren (keyboards) and Rudy Sarzo. The group pays tribute to the Ronnie James Dio and is fully supported by Dio's widow/manager, Wendy.

Bjorn has also played bass for YNGWIE MALMSTEEN (2007-2012), MSG/SURVIVOR vocalist Robin McAuley, SCORPIONS guitar legend Uli Jon Roth and QUIET RIOT, among others

Since 1986, Englen has played over 1,500 live shows and appeared on over 30 albums.

By mid-2013 this band will consist of one guy who was a roadie for a band that played a Dio cover some time ago. Enough's enough, time to put this cash grab tribute to rest when even Dio band musicians lose interest and those who don't play like every third show and you don't know who you're gonna see playing these songs anyway. If Viv and Vinny do a tribute with the original band they will outsell and outshine this mess easily.

Joint press release from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and The Who: Rudy Sarzo is now in those bands too...

(meant as a sincere compliment to an awesome player who works his ass off)
