MEGADETH: Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Reno Soundcheck - Dec. 4, 2012
MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson has posted a three-and-a-half-minute video clip featuring behind-the-scenes footage from pre-show soundcheck at the band's December 4 concert at Grand Sierra Resort And Casino in Reno, Nevada. Check it out below.

The 20th-anniversary edition of MEGADETH's 1992 double platinum-certified "Countdown To Extinction" album was released on November 6 via Capitol/EMI.

Presented in a 2CD lift-top box and digitally, "Countdown To Extinction"'s new commemorative edition pairs the remastered original album with a 1992 concert, recorded live at San Francisco's Cow Palace, which has never before been released in its entirety. The concert audio has been newly remixed for this release. The physical and digital versions both include a booklet with a new liner notes essay by music journalist Kory Grow, and the 2CD box also contains a 24" x 36" poster and four collectible postcards.

MEGADETH is currently performing the acclaimed album in its entirety on the band's "Countdown To Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour".

Cool to see the members of Megadeth who don't say stupid shit. And screw barricades, they should of put up a chain fence like in the "Wake Up Dead" video. That would really be badass.

Fuck this Christian rock bullshit. These guys haven't put out a consistently good album since 1990. Not to mention Dave is an idiot who can't sing for shit anymore. I can't wait until this fucking shitty, massively overrated band finally expires.

I am reading Mustaine book some of it is good and some of it is the usual Dave crap the one thing that jumps out at me is during Dave career their has been a couple of times where he could have really kicked on and become a really big band I Know you may say having a double platinum album is big but I remember the time Countdown came out Megadeth were everywhere. If they had to do what Metallica did with the black album and tour it for say 2 years plus, they could have shifted 5million plus but all the time Dave seems to fuck it up himself and he constantly blames other band members. At this time he was going on a massive arena tour with Aerosmith and he got kicked off it for shooting his mouth off. Hey just my opinion

they should listen to the sound during sound check. hands down, the quietest concert I've ever been to, metal, rock, classical, you name the genre, the rattling of the beer bottle drown out the band. Very odd.

Dave is a super nice, cool guy. And Countdown to Extinction is really an incredible album- one of their best by far- close to Peace Sells I think. Very well done. Thanks for the video Dave!
