LEPROUS' New Album To Be Co-Produced By Former EMPEROR Frontman - Dec. 3, 2012
After spending a very eventful and busy year 2012 promoting their latest album release, "Bilateral", Norwegian progsters LEPROUS have commenced the recording sessions for their as-yet-untitled new studio album, to be released in early 2013 via InsideOut Music.

Commented LEPROUS singer/synth player Einar Solberg: "As many of you already know, we’ve started recording our new album. The drums are finished, and we’re now focusing on the guitars. Also this time we’re using Vegard 'Ihsahn' Tveitan and Heidi 'StarOfAsh' S. Tveitan as our producers/technicians. The drums were recorded in the really cool and old school Juke Joint Studio, and we’re really satisfied with the result.

"As far as the new music, we can only remind you that LEPROUS will never be the kind of band to re-create the mood from previous works, and it’s very important for us that each album has its own strong character. We have great belief in this album and we promise something fresh, challenging and soulful! This album will also be mixed and mastered by Mr. Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios."

The first in a series of video clips featuring footage from the studio can be seen below.

After a successful run headlining the European Progressive Assault tour our all over Europe this past October, LEPROUS is not only already working on touring plans for 2013, but has also started confirming some prominent summer festival slots (Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Tuska, etc.) as well as special international shows in countries like Serbia (making up for a cancelled show date on the past tour) as well as Israel in January.

Bilateral is amazing.
The only time I' ve ever seen a band take such a gigantic leap from one album to the next was when Pantera went from whatchamacallit to Cowboys from hell. These guys have a LOT of potential. Hope they can keep it interesting, in that case this will surely be in the top 5 of next years best metal albums.

For those who haven't heard, check Bilateral out

I love Ihsahn and I love Leprous. This is perfect. Jens Bogren is icing on the cake.

Bilateral is a really good album, experimental, catchy and progressive all at once.

I found out this band by accident and now I am hooked on to them. A copy of Bilateral is on my way home and words fail me to describe what I feel about the new album and, mostly, the collaboration of Ihsahn with it.
