TONY HARNELL Performs Acoustic Versions Of TNT Classics (Audio) - Dec. 2, 2012
An audio recording of former TNT singer Tony Harnell and his band THE MERCURY TRAIN performing acoustic versions of a couple of TNT classics at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York City can be streamed below.

As previously reported, TONY HARNELL & THE WILDFLOWERS FEATURING BUMBLEFOOT, the band featuring Harnell alongside GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, will make its live debut on January 18, 2013 at The Cutting Room in New York City.

Since leaving TNT in 2006, Harnell has been recording hard rock, metal and acoustic rock albums and has been putting on entertaining acoustic shows to sold-out crowds in the the New York City area with his current backing group, which features guitarist Jason Hagen, Amy Harnell (vocals, percussion) and newest member, Cassandra Sotos (TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, MARK WOOD), on seven-string electric violin.

TONY HARNELL & THE MERCURY TRAIN's debut album, "Round Trip", was released in Europe on July 2, 2010 and in the USA on July 27, 2010 via Frontiers Records.

"Round Trip" is a very special record: a stripped down, reinvented retrospective of Tony Harnell's past classics originally recorded with his previous bands TNT, WESTWORLD and STARBREAKER, with one brand new song, "Anywhere But Here", recorded exclusively for this release.

Dude still has it. Wasn't a huge fan back in the day but still has the range some 25 yrs later. Why did TNT break up anyway?

Easy to still "have it" when you have the audience sing all the high notes(which are the ones that everybody wants to hear HIM sing). Oh well, still sounded good.
